I know that without a doubt they will kill something with ease. Many of the players I fight against tend to see the vanguard as the grim reaper on the battle, killing whole squads, busting tanks, and just killing anything in their path. Shame they can't have artifice armor.

This is a great kit. You can build 5 Space Marine Vanguard Veterans, whith a plethora of options.Pros-1. Plastic kit, not Finecast.2. 4 sets of Thunderhammer and stormshield3. 4 sets of lightning claws.4. Power sword and a bigger and more detailed 'relic blade'5. Lots of helmets and bare heads (more than you need for just 5 marines)6. Every bit is uniquely detailed.7. 5 Chainswords3. Pistols (bolt, plasma, graviton)8. Power Fist9. A slew of uniquely detailed shoulderpadsCons-1. No regular backpacks2. No bolters3. A couple of the leg poses seem just a tad wonkyOverall, an excellent kit that begs to be magnetized, or, just use the plethora of left over bits to make another Vangaurd squad out of a regular assault squad or to just customize some regular marines.

This is a great set, the old metal/finecast poses were nice, but now we have a plastic set with many more options. It comes with various options for weapons, chainswords, power swords, power fist, thunder hammers and storm shields, pistols, etc. The options fill the available options in the codex, and leave plenty leftover for use in other squads to make sergeants more unique. They also do not suffer from the gaps along the jump packs that the generic assault squads suffer form.
