Filbur FC-3128 Micro-Klean Disposable Sediment Filter with Hose Adapter

It seems to have worked well. The flow was not interrupted too much and the filling of my Softub with well water went well. It seemed to have filtered out any sediments before they went through the tub filters and hopefully the iron contents too.Since I have just had the tub filled for a week it will take time to see if this water is less condusive to forming the slight scumming I had before that I think was caused by iron content in my well water. Only time will tell. The delivery was a little long but did arrive on the estimated date so that is good.I will submit another review in a few months.Hi again,I have now had the same water in my tub since my initial 3 Star review in late November.(2 months) The filter has resolved my slight scumming problem completely. Whatever was causing the problem was resolved using the pre filter. I believe it was the high iron content in the water. Whatever the reason, my water now is sparkling clean and easy to keep stabilized. Recommended for everyone using wells to fill their Hot Tub..I now rate the product a resounding 5 Star PLUS!!!!!!

We have well water and the first year we filled our 16’ above ground pool we spent 2-3 weeks fighting sediment to get the water clear. This year I found this filter on a whim and read reviews.If you have well water and you’re filling a pool, BUY THIS! My water still came out tinged yellow-green, but virtually all of the iron was caught in this filter so I had almost no red sediment settling in the bottom over the next couple days. That red sediment is so fine and almost impossible to vacuum because it stirs so easily and then you get cloudy water and go through several weeks of filtering the pool water to get it out.Buy this for your first fill of the season!!

Filter works great, except the plastic part broke where it fits into the filter. Gorilla Glue fixed that. This is the only filter I have tried that actually filters out well water completely clear for our pool!

I bought a few of these to help with the filling of my hot tub. I drain & fill the tub every 6 months and these help keep the sediment out of the hot tub. This works especially well in my case as I'm on well water and depending on the amount of rain that has occurred recently, I can end up with a lot of sediment in my water even with a whole house filter. Pop one of these on to the end of the hose and I don't have to worry about putting red clay into my hot tub when I refill it.

So I refill my spa once a year and I always use this filter. Hooks right up to the garden hose and still lets plenty of water through. I use it for 1000 gallons

Seemed to work ok for a few minutes so I walked off for a few hours to let my pool fill. I came back and the black hose adapter was broke so the pool was filled with dark water. I had to start all over so I wrapped a large towel around the end of the hose and taped it and it worked just as well or better.

I've never lived with a well before so I never knew what a problem rust could be. We filled up the pool last summer and the water was so brown and opaque you couldn't see the bottom of the pool (and its only a 30" deep small pool). I bought this last year, but ended up just using the rust-out chemicals. This year we used the filter to fill and its beautifully clear and the filter is obviously tinged with brown, so it obviously did its job!
