Seiki SE65GY25 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED TV

About once every 3 times I turn it on it starts up in a weird quad split screen where everything looks messed up and the only way I've found to fix it is to power it down and boot it back up. No idea why it does this, and its not every time I turn it on, but it happens extremely frequently and is a mild annoyance. Other then that, the scratched base on arrival, and the lack of an optical audio port forcing you to use a single coaxil port for external sound, the rest has been solid. Picture quality is solid, size is as advertised (I got 65 inch), and I haven't had any issues using it for tv, dvd, blu ray, or gaming. I'm a little concerned that this quad screen thing is a symptom of some bigger problem, but other then that, as a whole, happy with the purchase, easily worth the price for the picture quality and size.Update 5/9/2015: So the quad screen thing hasn't happened in a while, still don't know what caused it, or what seems to have fixed it, but I'm certainly not complaining about it going away, usually I find issues either stay, or get worse, not the other way around. Colors all still look really vibrant as well. My only real complaint at this point is that blu ray videos with lots of motion look TERRIBLE. I've been told what I'm seeing is called Judder, and I've heard widely varying theories on what causes it and what fixes it, some people blaming tvs, others the blu ray players themselves, all I know is I have it when using either my dedicated blu ray player or my ps3 as a player, and I can't fin any settings in either the tv or the player to make this go away. If anyone else has ran into this and found a solution, you would be my hero if you shared it with me.Update 6/6/2015: The Judder issue has been fixed! It turned out the issue was caused by a feature of the TV called MEMC. It seems to make things look extra smooth in shows with lots of slow movements, but make things look much worse in shows with quick rapid movements. I turned MEMC off and rewatched a scene where the judder was frequent and obnoxious and it was entirely gone. I also still haven't had the quad screen thing happen in months, and the TV is working as good today as the day I got it. Changing my rating to 5 stars as at this point the only complaints I had about the TV seem to have evaporated.

Great price. Has a nice picture. Sound quality isn't so great. For the price this is a really good T.V.

Horrible picture, poor sound, but great price

not a great tv. it doesn't do anything cool or extra like most do these days. I ordered an LG years ago, and it came with netflix, voodoo, and lots of other goodies on it already. This one is newer, and came with nothing. The ad may say 1080P but it will only show 720p for some reason, I can't seem to find the setting that would change that, so we have this huge tv now that looks like crap. It was delivered by way of some guy in a creepy white van, he hardly spoke english, and he was not sure of anything about the tv, or who I could contact if there was anything wrong with it. The box was damaged badly right on the screen side of the tv. When I opened it up I was praying it hadn't scratched the screen itself. But it had. A very small hard to notice scratch. I figured it was less hassle to just deal with it than try to send the stupid thing back. The remote takes me back to the 80's, and over all I wish I had paid the extra $300 for another LG. But it works. The stand it comes with is pretty sturdy. I had wanted to wall mount it, but I haven't yet.

Overall I'm pleased with the options this tv has. It has a decent picture and good viewing angles. The menu system is a little clunky, as is the remote it comes with, but I use this primarily for streaming Chromecast and watching DVR. The speakers leave a bit to be desired though. And by that I mean; do not use the built in speakers. Budget for at least a soundbar or use some type of external speakers.The good:- Picture quality- Viewing anglesThe bad:- Built in speakers sound worse than my cell phone from 4 years ago

We honestly couldn't be happier with our TV (SE55GY19). Even the delivery guys were impressed with a couple of things: first, the packaging came with a large, thick cardboard piece that did nothing but protect the screen. They said they had never seen that before and they had delivered a lot of TVs although this was their first Seiki. Also, they were impressed with the high quality styrofoam that was used and how it was custom-designed to protect individual components. Finally, the stand came in two pieces, the base and the upright arm. Connecting the arm to the base and the TV to the arm required six screws in each place. The delivery guys said that usually these stands use only three screws for each connection, a total of six instead of Seiki's twelve. As far the TV's operation goes, we found the picture to be crisp in definition and sharp in color. The rear-facing speakers are not a problem for us because we have the TV on a stand rather than wall-mounted. A foot behind the speakers is a wall so, if anything, the sound is enhanced by bouncing off the wall and back into the room. It was a breeze to set up, attach our DVD player and game console to, and hook up our cable connection. If there is one drawback, it is that the TV has only one input for extras which required a switch box (again, no big deal for us because we had one already). To be honest, I don't know if other TVs have more inputs for your DVD/game console etc., so I don't know how much of a disadvantage this actually is. As of this writing, we've had the item for three weeks and haven't had a single problem or even a complaint. Overall, we're extremely pleased, especially at the price we paid. One additional note: no, this not a so-called "smart TV." Again, we don't care about that, but if it is important to you, then you'll have to go elsewhere.

This television is awesome. Work well but the I think the colours needs some adjustment to it. Otherwise it is good tv for the price. I had intended giving it away but I had to keep it because I love it. Thanks
