Hostess Chocolate Cake Twinkies, 10 Count, 13.58 Ounce (Pack of 1)

This product, when delivered fresh and well packaged is truly delightful. The banana flavoring is just right, and the essential "twinkieness" is right there. So, if you like the regular flavored twinkies, and bananas – it is likely that you’ll find these a real treat. Now a word of warning, if I can get it by the Amazon censors -- these products are perishable (product characteristic), they have a "Best by date" on them which indicates when the manufacturer thinks is the date on which they will become less than the perfect product that they ship (fact). The boxes they come in are very lightly constructed and require careful packaging for the journey to your home. Lately I have had some difficulty with products that are expiring in a matter of weeks, are packaged in nothing more than a plastic bag, and/or have not been treated well while waiting in storage for my order. This is not the fault of the manufacturer of this delicious foodstuff - but it is a hazard associated with it. The only way to be sure that you will get a nominal product - is to check out the seller rating. Amazon's policies do not allow for more than this level of warning regarding potential problems. So be sure to check out the seller. Critical for these types of purchases.

Good but a little sweet

These are good but against all my rules. So I'll enjoy finishing the box then I'll try to imagine they don't exist. They are chocolate, with a good flavor, but with a strong hint of "this is not good for you." Worth a try.

I'm not going to tell you NOT to buy these chocolate Twinkies, but be aware that they just aren't as wonderful as you're probably hoping they'll be. They're just ok, perfectly acceptable but not special. It's worth it to buy them if you want to try them and see what they're all about and maybe you'll love them. But I guess I was expecting more from them. ALSO, and maybe this was part of the problem with them, they were shipped in a bag instead of a box, and they arrived squished and squashed and mashed and mushy, which did NOT do them (or me) any favors. So go ahead and try them if only to satisfy your curiosity, but expect them to be crushed and mushy because of the way they're shipped, and to not be anything super spectacular.

Awesome taste great

I love chocolate cake with white filling, but. the chocolate filling that I got tasted funny. Would not order again. I only would want white filling. Much too expensive to not get what I like.
