This is Superhazel!!
Long time Thayers customer, first time Superhazel user. After years of hunting and failed attempts, I have finally found the last aftershave I will ever need. This product is perfect is every way for me.Thayer has clearly has 150+ years to get their blends just right. I am not a paid spokes person or anything BTW. I was using the alcohol-free Cucumber Toner as aftershave and enjoyed the gentle serum, but it smelled a bit like was more . I prefer a refreshing splash on my face in the morning and the Superhazel provides a clean and minty smell. The alcohol is great to clean any nicks I might have made and the aloe moisturizes my face. There are other goodies such as: clove, camphor and peppermint oil. This day in age I just want a product to perform as advertised and use quality ingredients. Thank you Thayers for making the Superhazel, I will be a life long user. Great name too!

Best skin toner for sensitives
I have sensitive skin so have to be careful what I use, yet need something to clean and reduce my pores. I've tried many brands of toner, including a well know organic brand that turns out to have toxins that caused me to get headaches. Then I found Thayer's. This toner is amazing! It has a light pleasant cinnamon-cloves smell and tingles without burning. My skin tone and pore size has noticeably improved since I changed to Thayers. And even better - it minimizes the fine lines and wrinkles. I've been using it for three weeks now and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I'll update this review if anything changes, but for now I highly recommend.

It's magic - except for the clove smell
I bought this to use as part of my aftershave routine and as an astringent/toner. I didn't realize it had clove oil when I ordered it. The clove smell and oily-ness turned me off at first use. Then I got a bug bite on my face that was itchy and was taking time to heal. Thayer's medicated witch hazel worked like magic on this, relieving the itch and healing the bite. On days when I didn't use the product, the itch and irritation came back. On days I use it I feel good and the bite doesn't look irritated. Truly amazing.

Thayers never disappoints.
This is an excellent witch hazel!I use it post shave and as a skin toner when needed and/or as a pickup after being outside on a humid day. I think the scent is pleasant and fades quickly after use. I like that it's medicated with camphor and soothes and sterilizes my skin after an aggressive shave. I've also used it for bug bites and that chafing rash we men can get sometimes from wet bathing suits.I love the variety Thayers offers. It's a clean, pure witch hazel and my go to product.

Keeps me from scratching.
The dermatologist said I had seborrheic dermatitis and if I didn't scratch it, it would disappear. I find that liberally applying Thayers Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula Medicated with Camphor stops me from scratching my head. I like the way it works, but the smell of the camphor does linger. It's not unpleasant, just medicated smelling. Bottom line is that my seborrheic dermatitis is just about gone. Seems to be working for me.

Makes skin feel great after shave....
I use this immediately after drying my face after a cold post shave water rinse. The clove scent is very clean smelling and I can immediately feel the soothing effect of the hazel. This is my favorite immediate post shave application. I may try a different scent next time but only for something different. Very good product.Once this evaporates a bit I do use an after shave balm for the final touch. Face feels great.

Great for light chemical burns & razor burn!
I was a little disappointed when I received an item listed as “witch hazel” to realize the actual witch hazel is the last item listed in the ingredient list (leading me to believe it’s something else entirely that happens to have witch hazel in it). BUT I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND MANY SO GREAT USES FOR IT. I’m actually only writing this review because I reluctantly used it on burning facial skin (slight chemical burn from tea tree oil). I have NEVER used anything on chemical burns that haven’t made the burning worse, UNTIL NOW. This feels wonderful. I have extremely sensitive skin, & this feels like a miracle on my face. I also use it to prevent razor burns & so far it’s been wonderful.I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a “go to” in their medicine cabinet. I can vouch that it’s good for sensitive skin:)UPDATE: I noticed the bottle states this product is suitable for temporary relief of minor burns, but I found it actually helped to HEAL mine. My face usually remains red & inflamed for several days if/when I mix the wrong combination of factial products (with sensitive skin, this happens easily;) BUT MY FACE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER THE MORNING AFTER I USED THIS ONCE, & WAS COMPLETELY HEALED WITHIN 36 HOURS. So, again, I absolutely recommend this product! Sorry so long, but reliable reviews could be hard to come by. I even love the scent of this!

If you have sensitive skin, BEWARE
I thought that the medicated would work better than the original formula, I was so wrong. As soon as I put a cotton round of it on my face I felt red hot pain. I weirdly was in shock and I wiped it off and held a warm compress to my face until it cooled. All in all it was a waste of money, and I do not want anyone to go through the same thing. Don't fix what's not broken.

Thayers Medicated Witch Hazel Astringent
Thayers is widely recommended on the shaving channels on Youtube. This version is the astringent in what I understand used to be called Supermedicated. The astringent formulations contain alcohol rather than the toner which does not. Why this version? Because I was looking for an alternative to alum (which although a key shaving product just doesn't seem to agree with me at the moment) and/or strong alcohol based aftershave as part of the post shave routine. The Thayers Medicated performs that role admirably. It has a light medicinal / clove-like fragrance and just a hint of stickiness on application which disappears rapidly. The astringent calms minor razor burn and keeps any nicks clean whilst the aloe and witch hazel (also present in the toner versions), cleans and conditions the skin as well as soothing and healing. Ingredients are pure and simple. The ingredients list reads like a wish list of goodness. I'm sure my skin tone is also clearer and better since using it. I also use this occasionally on a cotton pad to cleanse before moisturising on non-shave days. On shave days its a splash post shave. Supplier was as excellent as the product. Wish I had this in my locker years ago. If you use an alum block and/or aftershave - slot this in between the two post-shave but suggest the toner versions if an alcohol splash doesn't agree with your skin. Personally, although containing alcohol I find there's no sting here whatsoever. It's nothing like hitting your skin with say, Pinaud Clubman, which is great but only on perfect shave days for me. Your milage may vary.Give it a go and I'll be surprised if you don't like it.
