Samsung U32E850R Monitor, 31.5" Size, PLS Panel with Premium Adjustable Stand

Vor ca. 1 Jahr habe ich mir diesen Monitor mit UHD-Auflösung ausgesucht.Haupt-Kaufgrund war das Gaming, welches ich auf ein neues Level bringen wollte.Die Idee war mit einem großen Monitor (vorher 22 Zoll Monitor) bei gleichzeitig deutlich höherer Auflösung in Spielen eine bessere Immersion beim Spielen zu erzeugen.Dieser Plan ist mit diesem Monitor (in Kombination mit einem sehr leistungsstarken Rechner) aufgegangen. Das Mittendrin-Gefühl in ohnehin schon sehr immersiven Spielen wie "Forza Horizon 3", "The Witcher 3" oder "Battlefield 1" wird hervorragend verstärkt. Gerade bei Rennspielen schaut man gerne in die Ferne, da das Kantenflimmern und der Pixelbrei minimiert sind.Den Monitor habe ich über DisplayPort (nicht HMDI oder HMDI 2.0!) an meine Grafikkarte angeschlossen, da HMDI die fps entweder auf 30 fps bei HMDI oder auf 60 fps bei HMDI 2.0 beschränken. Das mag für Spiele noch "o.k." sein, auf dem Desktop mit der Mausführung wird jede Aktion sehr lästig. Von daher kann ich bei 4k Monitoren nur DisplayPort oder Mini-DisplayPort empfehlen. Anders als der Name vermuten lässt, übertragt DisplayPort (wie HMDI) auch Audiosignale Digital.Dieser Monitor hat in den 12 Monaten einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Farben wirken Satt, das Bild sehr gleichmäßig beleuchtet (an den Kanten erkennt man eine minimale Erhöhung der Leuchtstärke) und der tiefste Schwarzton der erreicht werden kann, ist schon nah an dem was ich als "Perfekt (L*a*b* = 0; 0; 0)" bezeichnen würde.Auch wenn es Monitore gibt, die eine schnellere Reaktionszeit als 4ms besitzen sind diese für mich mehr als ausreichend. Trotz der großen Menge an Bilddaten aufgrund der nativen 2160p Auflösung, die dieses Gerät ausgeben muss, kommt es selbst bei schnellen Bewegungen in Spielen wie Battlefield 1 und Forza Horizon 3 nicht zu unerwünschten Schlieren oder anderen Bildstörungen.Negativ auf das Gesamtbild wirkt sich die ungewöhnlich lange Einschaltdauer des Monitors aus (genau 8 sek.). Das ist aber kein Stern-Abzug Wert.

An expensive choice for a monitor, but well worth it. Colour depth and clarity is excellent. The resolution (3840 x 2160) in Windows is amazing, and works well, especially with games which support this resolution.Would thoroughly recommend this monitor, was a stretch to afford, but a well worthwhile purchase, have not had such a great monitor in many years! Replaced two aging 19" monitors (1600x1200 resolution), so more power friendly and more desk space returned!All of my IT friends are jealous of this monitor, especially as it supports 4k content!

I’ve very recently upgraded from the 28” 4k Samsung U28D590D (which I had for about 2 months, and decided I wanted an even bigger monitor…)And I thought the U28D590D was an exceptional monitor for the price/performance ratio, with an amazingly vibrant screen, excellent colour balance, and a beautifully intuitive joystick driven menu-interface. And was just outstanding for gaming and causal general use (webpage content was beautiful, iTunes library looked extremely sharp, Photos popped when viewed). And Having owned that monitor for 2 months, I would probably still say, this is the perfect sweet spot for the quality of the monitor, Vs the very reasonable price you are paying…But this U32E850R…..this is just something else….This monitor is hands-down the best monitor I’ve ever used…The colour accuracy and reproduction, and overall detail on this monitor is just breathtaking…I thought the U28D590D had amazing colour and image fidelity, but the U32E850R just blows it away. (yes, I know it’s a TN Panel vs an IPS panel) but the U32E850R’s colour accuracy and reproduction are just simply breathtaking. incredibly precise..fantastically immersive, and lets you fit a staggering amount of infomation on-screen. And whilst the U28D590D is amazingly vibrant and colourful (I was seriously impressed for a TN panel), this is a professional photo/Video editingly precise monitor. Which is not surprising as it’s not really a gaming monitor. It’s more a professional grade monitor, that you can game on.The fact that each unit is professionally calibrated straight out of the box (which the monitor comes fully assembled on the stand in the box indicates, that this is a monitor designed for professionals). Several professional website reviews tried adjusting the calibration of the monitor, and actually went back to it’s straight out the box settings, as they were not able to improve on the default calibration, which is pretty much perfect….and I have to agree, this thing is so perfectly calibrated, that unless you find the screen too bright you won’t have to touch the settings..As it’s an IPS panel, there is the usual amazing viewing angles (which I never found to be a problem with other monitors, as I sit directly in front of any monitor, but this one is so big, that you do have to shift your head a little to see the whole screen). General day-to-day use is just jaw-dropping. Whereas the colours on the U28D590D looked very colourful and incredibly vibrant, the colours on the U£2E850R are far more subtle, but beautifully rich, with a staggering amount of colour depth. (does that make sense?). Web surfing and iTunes and viewing photos just digs up so much more subtleties in colour its crazy. And with gaming (Shadow of Mordor/Project Cars), there hasn’t been any noticeable issues/differences with refresh or response rates…but the games are just so much more beautifully coloured, and significantly layered in tone between similar colours on this monitor, I was a little taken back as to how much more dynamic the games looked on it (haven’t tried out my Battlefield 4 yet).This is a best monitor I’ve ever used, and pretty much flattens any other monitor I've used for productivity (and I think only the 5k iMac, I’ve used very briefly, may give it some competition), and with the exception of spending over £1,200+ on an actual professional monitor...this is probably the high water mark for Non-gaming focused 4k Monitors. And I have to stress that this is not really designed for gaming...and you can get more suitable gaming monitors for much less, but if you want a monitor this excels in every area other than just gaming….this is it!!

und damit bei einem 4 k - 28" Monitor auch die Schrift, dann muß es eben etwas größer sein.Toll die Auflösung und die Ansicht der eigenen Fotos mit immerhin 8 K Pixel.Das ergibt eine Bildbearbeitung der besonderen Art mit sehr viel Freude an der Arbeit.Auch die Schriften in den Textprogrammen ist gut lesbar auch ohne eine (Bildschirm-) Lupe zu verwenden.Es war für mich eine gute und die richtige wenn auch teure Kaufentscheidung.

Bei Warehousedeals gekauft und alles ist OK. Monitor ist unter Windwos 7 mit Nvidia GTX 750 am DisplayPort 1.2 angeschlossen. Bilschirm mit 32" gut verwendbar als Schreibtischmonitor. Ist nicht zu groß. Hohe Auflösung ist sehr gut für Text und Grafikarbeiten Word, PDF Acrobat, InDesign. Aber auch nur PDF lesen mit A4-Dokumenten 2-seitiger Ansicht ist super und vor allem augenschohnend unanstrengend.
