Laurie Gates 12 Piece Melamine Dinnerware Dinner Set Dishwasher safe

This is a really attractive set of plates/bowls.Not cheap but when you see and feel the thickness and quality,you realise it is lots better than average melamine.The plates(but not bowls)haVeryve an embossed pattern that makes them look like ceramic.Very pleased with this.

yes what can i say they are light weight we have had them now for about a year and not a mark on them they have been dropped onto a tiled floor not a problem bounced not even a chip if it would have been a china plate no more plate , the only downfall is they say not to be used in microwave which we found a pain ,but we did forget on the odd time and put it in micro. the only thing we found was the plate got very very hot other wise no damage i wwould give this dinner ware 5 stars if i could give 10 stars i would

I actually purchased this set to give to a friend as a house warming gift but once I found out she had already purchased two sets of dishes I decided to keep these and I'm so glad I did. They are beautiful and so sturdy. They aren't made out of glass, not sure what you would call it, almost like a heavy plastic so if you drop them they won't break which is a definite plus.

Fabulous and gorgeous dinnerware! This exceeded my expectations and I ordered a second set. I'm not concerned about it not being oven/microwave proof as I have plenty of dishware appropriate for 'heat'. This will go in the dishwasher and is BPA free - and it looks and feels like ceramic ware - love it!!!

I bought this dish set, with the impression that they are yellow and white with blue, however, the yellow on the border of the dishes turned out to be green and not yellow, so I can't use them with my other set. I sent them back. Having said that, they are beautiful and look as though they're not melamine at all.

Love them but no use in micro ..that a bummer I would not have bought had I known

Beautiful set, the colors and pattern look great and far beyond what you'd expect for non-ceramic. The positive of Melamine is how durable it is, and dishwasher safe! I wanted something I could use indoor or outdoor with no worry.Unfortunately, the material is not microwave safe, but I've yet to find both durable and microwavable
