The day before the first nice days I’ve had off all summer my pump died. I found this pump searching for what was the fastest I could get it by. That was a Friday. It was scheduled to be here on that Monday. It was an awesome surprise when it Arrived on Saturday. We had the pump hooked up and running by dinner time. The pump runs great and it’s super quiet. Very happy with the speedy service and the pump.

This made a huge difference. I bought a pool from Walmart and the pump and filter were overwhelmed because they were so small. This system has cleaned the water and we now enjoy bright, clean pool water. Great for the price.

First i want to say the shipping was horrible. For us it was sent thru fedex and fedex has never been reliable, respectful or good at delivering packages heavier then 10 pounds.This is around 50 lbs. We got the pump a d filter combo. Not oy did they miss the delivery date by several days they said they couldnt find the 3.5 foot 50lb box. When it finally came i watched them sling the box out the back of the truck onto my driveway. Sling not push not flip but pick up swing with a 1 . 2. And toss.Theres a pump in there it may be just me but tossing a 50 pound box out a 3 ft raised area onto a driveway doesnt seem safe for little parts in or around it. Fedex always does this most things come broken. Luckily the seller packed it well enough because it seems to work and no noticeable damage.About the product itself.As i said we got the 1hp pump with filter assembly.We were upgrading the trash .14hp pump that came with the 9200 gallon pool.It didnt move the water a d vacuuming had no suction.This new 1hp pump is wicked strong. The water moves. The suction its strong. The water fall i bought and auto vacuum now work amazingly with the suction.The pump and filter assembly combo came with a filter which is nice.It wasnt to hard to put together. Connecing the pump to the filter chamber was probably the hardest because of the seal design but it wasnt to bad.I did have to buy 2 adapters to step up from the 1 1/4 in to the new pumps 1 1/2 in Which you may or may not need to do.Overall im happy with this pump. Its been on for 30 hours straight to filter out the pool real nice since the original one that came with the pool left it bad off.This pump does not have a timer.It is a plug and unplung only. You will need a timer or a flip switch.This pump is a standed US 3 2 prong and ground plug.It has a leaf skimmer basket built in.Note: if using a aboveground pool like the intex, bestway, coleman and such and and upgrading from the pump it came with your oripump may be set up where the water comes out the pool into the filter and then thru the pump and back into the pool.With this pump the hook up is reversed. It goes into the pump then thru the filter and then back into the pool.Im new to these types of pumps. So i did hook it up the way the original pool pump was. WRONG. I tirned it on and nothing was pumping.If you said read the directions then i must tell you that it didnt come with any. Just a basic operators care manual.So now i know and if you are upgrading your aboveground pool pump to this and its your first pool you may also make that mistake.Hope it helps avoid that.A other note for us aboveground intex coleman bestway type pool owners.You will want to upgrade your inlet tubes. Those clearish white ones. They are to weak for the suction of this pump and tend to collapse on themselves which restricts water flow and leaves your pump running with no water coming thru it. This can lead to pump damage so be sure to upgrade those tubes to something stronger.This pump moves 70gpm thats what? 4200 gallons per hour i believe. The hoses that came with it are rated for up to 1000 gph pumps. Thats a big suction difference.Overall. Great buy.A few upgrade accessories may be nedded depending on your setup.Definitely recommend for 8000 gallon pools up to maybe 12,000?Moves 4000+ gallons a hour.Large cartridge filter really keeps the water clean.May be shipped with horrible fedex due to it being around 50lbs.Happy swimming put there.

Excellent! I have a pol for twenty years. Above ground 25 ft round - approx 13K gallons. Several brands of DE filters for hundreds of dollars more and this little filter is easily the best. Using 2 speed 1.5 HP pump. Simple back wash and if needed easy to clean.

Came fast. Came with no problems as far as the equipment. Easy to install. Even for a dummy. Haha there was a small leak with the Guage and the top and they sent me. Replacement immediately, no questions asked. Will buy from this company again. Excellent service.

I want to give this double the stars!!! This does a fantastic job on our Coleman 22 ft. round x 52 inch deep above ground pool. Remove filter 2x per week to spray clean the filter with garden hose with a multi pattern nozzle set to jet. Use Clorox Pool Filter cleaner 1x per week (spray it on let set for 5 minutes) to really clean out algae residue - rinse THOROUGHLY until NO bubbles are present. Drain/spray out the filter chamber to clean it out. Couple this with a bestway automatic skimmer (do NOT plug other inlet as instructions tell you or air will get in pump causing FOAM) and you will LOVE your pool again!

The thing works fine, but there's no instructions explaining that there's a PLUGin the center of the bottom of the filter housing. If you don't or can not remove the plug the filter won't work. I had to cut a1 half piece of PVC pipe to fit in the hole in the bottom of the filter housing to keep the water flowing properly. Without that the water will not flow out the exit hole in the return side of filter.
