This Pantene is Perfect for Keeping it Lightly Curled - a review by Mrs. Al
Mrs. Al writing this review, here! My husband and I both have naturally curly hair, but not so curly that it stays in nice tight curls. Just kind of flops and flows. My hair especially is so thick it tends to hang into waves if it gets too long, and his gets rather unruly at any length other than super short (which can be a mess in the heat and monsoon when he's off to work). Was looking at the $5 deals on Amazon Pantry and saw this Pantene Curly Hair Style enhancing spray gel which caught my eye. I used to be a hairdresser and cosmetology trainer before I became too ill and had long run out of my old salon products. This Pantene spray reminded me of a pro type I used to use back when, and decided to give it a shot. SO HAPPY I DID! My actually thought my husband would use the strong hold, straightening gel for work more but he even uses this all the time, too, now. My waves come out so nicely, bouncing back up into big curls without much care. We actually moved and I haven't been able to find the box with my good blow-dryer and diffuser anymore, so we haven't been able to test that aspect of it yet, but air-drying works super well. It is very light, too, and I thought I put too much in my hair a few times but it never feels like that at all. Highly recommended you give this a try.Giving 5 stars based on price for what you get, and based off of how it works vs. its claims.

PERFECT FOR WAVY HAIR! OMG, NEW FAVORITE SPRAY GEL!! :)
When my hair is wet, it's naturally wavy with a small amount of curl. I typically blow dry my hair with a flat brush and wear it straight. I don't typically use rollers or a curling iron because my hair never seems to keep curl. When I use mousse to try to enhance my curls, there's typically a crunchy feeling that stays with me all day. Depending on the mousse I use, it sometimes flakes and looks like I have dander in my hair. Gross!I noticed this product had a coupon available, and that's really the only reason why I initially ordered it. The first week I used it, I literally got compliments left and right. People actually raved over my hair and LOVED the texture and shape of my curls. I had three different women ask me (on the same day) what hair product I used because they wanted to try it - two of them have naturally straight/wavy hair and the other had very tight curls. When I use this product, I typically use quite a lot of it, so I'm glad it comes in a 3-pack. Since my first 3-pack order, I've ordered two more of these 3 packs and absolutely love the way my hair looks, even 2 days into wearing the curls. It doesn't make my hair look gross like mousse sometimes does, so with the Pantene product, I don't necessarily have to re-wash my hair on day two just to make my hair look decent! Just add a bit of water to my hair, scrunch with your hands, hit it with a hair dryer with your hair scrunched, and voila! Beautiful natural looking curls.Seriously, try this product. It's a life changer (for me at least)!

This is my holy grail - I use it almost everyday!
After using so many expensive products, I was delightfully surprised at this simple Pantene product! I read the reviews and ordered even though I didn't want 3 but it was affordable, so... now I am SO glad I bought the 3pack, I use this spray almost everyday and worry it will be discontinued. I read the review from the woman who pinned her hair with bobby pins - typically I do that to my hair after I wash it at night and get curls the next morning that last for days. I am asian, have very thin fine straight highlighted hair and get a perm once a yr or so to add a little volume & oomph and to make it easier to curl-- permed hair still needs to be styled (most ppl don't know that) because it usually gives you tightish, corkscrew, dried up, frizzed out curls. To get the curling iron look - bouncy, bigger, spiral waves - I usually pincurl or tie it up overnight, or on special nights use a curling iron to "tame" it. With this product I have put away my curling iron and don't have to pincurl overnight anymore - just 1 hour (or more for longer lasting result) and my hair is ready to go! It works best on my dry hair on days 2 or 3 after the last washing - when my hair needs to be coaxed back into definable wavy, curls. I have searched everywhere for a product that can do that. I love the smell, but yes, if you spray too much on a strand it can get crunchy but then i just "tousle" it out to make it softer. Not sure if it works well for other hair types but I LOVE THIS.

OK for poodleheads
I have naturally curly hair (think poodles) so I generally tie my hair into a knot to keep it from turning into a giant pompom. I'm a fan of Pantene's curl defining mousse, but it's not offered in the pantry so I thought I'd give this a try. I'm not a fan of pump bottles because I have a hard time controlling the overspray, and I have so much hair my fingers get tired pumping (plus I have to block my face from the spray with my other hand, which gets the spray all over the hand, which makes the bottle hard to hold when I switch hands, but whatever). I've attached pictures of my hair right after a shower and blotted with a towel, and then to give the stuff a thorough trial I wore my hair in a rooster-tail indoors for about 6 hours at work. It was a nice day so I rolled the window down for the drive home (you can see how the left side is fluffier than the right). I let my hair down and shook it a bit before taking the other picture, so you can make up your own minds how defined the curls look (they certainly look curlier when they're not wet but they do that anyway). One of the reviewers said she found that the stuff washed off her hands easily, but I found the exact opposite to be true; I had to use soap to get the slimy feeling off. It also makes my scalp itch. My hair was a little stiff in the rooster-tail (no saucy flipping back and forth like those lucky girls with straight hair) but when I took it down and scrunched it a bit it softened up some (but nowhere near "running your fingers through it", a caress we naturally-curly-heads have learned to live without, alas).I won't throw it out, but I'll stick on the top shelf of my supply closet to use in case I run out of mousse before I can stock up.

Good spray gel
I like that it’s a spray and it smells good. Works like a hair spray, but without the strong hold. I have long hair and use this instead of hair spray to control frizz. Hope they don’t quit making it.

Decent gel
This product leaves a good cast and decent hold. I do apply to it to wet hair and scrunch out the crunch once the hair is completely dry. The curl pattern is definitely there but my hair feels very dry, not soft and also I hate the spray applicator
