Nice but not colorfast
These towels feel great, and the color is true to the web site photograph. The only complaint I have is that the color bleaches out really easily. If you use any facial or body cleansers that contain glycolic acid, be sure you rinse them off your skin COMPLETELY before drying off with these towels. I did not, and my Sage-colored towels now have big yellow discolored bleach spots -- and this happened after just one use. I love the towels but will buy white the next time I get them.

Excellent -- very absorbent, soft, heavy, washes well
During the past year or so I've been on a quest to find the perfect bath towel for myself. For me, absorbency trumps softness, but the trend in towels is toward super-plush softness that ends up gliding over my wet, furry, manly body. Until I've washed a towel and line-dried it a few times, I just can't tell how absorbent a towel will be in the long term. Remarkably, this one started out pretty good and has just gotten better. It rates very high on my absorbency scale. It's thick and heavy and soft. I like to line-dry towels so they have a bit more texture and "bite" to gobble up the water from my skin. I like the invigorating feeling of gentle exfoliation so my skin ends up super-clean, no residue left from hair conditioner nor soap. The loops/pile of this towel gets high marks from me in this regard. If your primary criteria is cuddly, ultra-plush softness, there are plenty of other towels that outscore this Pinzon, even fluffed up in a dryer. But this towel is plenty soft and -- best of all -- has really good absorbency. It's a great balance for me.Others have commented this 820-gram towel is heavy. Indeed it is. I got a bath towel (not the huge bath sheet) and, even though I'm a big guy, it's plenty of weight to wrestle with. (I can imagine using a bath sheet would be a pretty good work out! But maybe not the most efficient tool for getting your body dry quickly.) If you are frail, you may want to consider a lighter weight towel. (Some people actually like lighter towels. My GF, altho fit, actually prefers using a pair of smaller, lighter towels... like the ones you use at a gym.) With the Pinzon, I can dry my hair on one side and the opposite side is still completely dry. The thickness and weight kind of feels like it's two towels. Definitely substantial!Others have mentioned some bleaching spot problems. I've not had that problem and I don't use any creams or lotions that have acids in them so I don't expect to encounter it, but years ago when my daughter was living here, I ended up with some bleachy spots on the towels. I know these days, many towels now claim to be resistant to discoloring from acne creams, etc. If those kinds of lotions and potions were in use in my household, based on reviews here, I'd probably not have these Pinzon towels as general towels (unless I was using only white), but rather towels with dyes resistant to those cosmetic chemicals. But I'd still have the Pinzon for my personal shower towel! Love it!

Disappointed after having Bamboo
I had previously purchased Pinzon towels with Bamboo. I thought I would give these a try since about the same weight as previous Bamboo towels and had the color I wanted. Nothing compares to the softness of Bamboo towels. After one washing these were already no course and not soft. The difference in drying with softness vs. sandpaper. Get the towels with Bamboo, you will not be sorry.

PINZON brand bath towels - SUPERB!
This towel is absolutely gorgeous! NOBODY makes towels like this anymore, although it used to be that one could purchase bath towels made by companies such as Cannon, Wamsutta, and often even Costco., knowing that the quality would be high. Unfortunately, even J.C. Penney no longer carries good quality towels, and Sears towels are even worse. And I know better than to go to Wal-Mart or Target, as I have been there and done that and had to return them. After reading the Amazon reviews of the Pinzon brand, and discovering that it is an Amazon-exclusive brand, I thought I had nothing to lose by ordering one set, knowing that if they were of poor quality, thanks to Amazon's excellent returns policy, I could send them back. I did not even have to open the package! I could tell how thick and heavy the towel was right through the wrapping, and once I got in in my hands, I was oohing and aahing over the high quality. No thin, sleazy Motel-6 towels these! My thanks to Amazon for the Pinzon brand and I would have no hesitation in purchasing this brand again in the future. As usual, leave it to Amazon to do it right! I only wish they were running the country.......

Disappointed
I thought I had ordered a bath sheet but this is a regular sized towel. It is very thick and plush for those that like that. Mostly, I was just disappointed about the size.

Thick and heavy
These are heavy towels. They dry ok but not the best. After each wash and dry the lint tray is filled with towel lint. More than my other towels. They also pick easy.

Very plush and quick to dry.
Let me start by saying that I live in a very dry climate. If you're in a high humidity area, I would recommend towels that aren't as dense as this one. But on a cold winter morning this is a great towel to bundle up in. It soaks up all the water really fast. Since this color is a little lighter I don't anticipate that fading will be an issue. Mine have been washed 4 times so far. There was a LOT of fluff in the dryer filter the first time, but hardly any at all by the 4th time. I wouldn't recommend drying these with white towels for the first few times. I ended up with purple lint on my white wash cloths. I'll be getting more of these when I'm ready to replace towels. Good job Amazon!

the search for the perfect towel continues
Looks a bit faded after 2 careful washings . It is just too heavy and takes over and hour to dry .
