Q: Trying to determine the location of the date on this ornament, can you please advise.

This ornament is not what we would consider to be a dated ornament in that "1994" does not appear prominently and is not part of the design. All Hallmark ornaments bear the year that they are produced along with the Hallmark trademark. That is the only dating on this ornament. The trademark/date is on Barney's back and is part of the ornament's plastic molding (it is not painted on). It is very tiny, you really only see it if you are looking for it. terry, oakview collectibles

dear Joseph, I hope that I can answer your question. If you look at Barney's back - right under his green scarf, you will see the date written inside the top green circle "1994". You will see the gold crown and under it "Hallmark cards, inc. I hope this helps you. I had to use my trusty magnifying glass to read it.Susan Wise
