Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine by De'Longhi, Piano Black

I have only had my Nespresso coffee maker for 8 days but so far I can’t say enough good things about it. So far the only negative thing I can say about it is: it is expensive and so are the pods, however, that stacked against the convenience of having a perfect cup of coffee with very little fuss or mess is, at least for me, worth the trade off. I’m a recent widow and I love my coffee but I can no longer drink it all day or even many times a day and I am very particular about what I want in a cup of coffee so this machine makes sense for me particularly in this time of my life. It makes a truly perfect cup of good strong full bodied coffee and it comes out hot! That was my criteria, I wanted a strong, smooth tasting yet full bodied and I wanted it to be hot- not lukewarm like other coffee machines I had used. I also wanted something simple to use that didn’t require a lot of fuss and mess and I was willing to pay a little extra for that. The other thing was a regular coffee maker can be hard to keep the inside parts clean and mold free. This machine meets all those points perfectly. I’m very pleased with how this machine performs, I absolutely love it! Oh yes then there’s the crema—that was a bonus, I started looking for just an espresso maker that actually made crema, well this machine makes several different size cups and everyone of them has loads of crema I wasn’t expecting that in the larger brews. It comes with a great selection of pods and it all sizes to get you started.

This coffee machine is fantastic. It's easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. I stayed away from the Nespresso machines for a long time due to the high price, and espresso only options. It wasn't until the Vertuoline, that I became interested again because with this line you get coffee options as well. Man am I glad I did. The pods are a tad pricey, but it is totally worth it. The cream, the flavor, the goodness. LOL. In all seriousness, this is my 3rd "pod" type machine. I have had a Starbucks Verismo and multiple Keurig machines. The Verismo was good, however, Starbucks seemed to launch the machine with zeal, then let it die a slow death. No new machine in years, and seemed to no longer display and sell them. I was told they weren't going to keep making them. So back to Kuerig I went. The pods are better priced, but no matter the coffee type, it always seemed to be either an inconsistent cup of coffee or a weak cup, even with espresso roasted coffee pods. Then comes the hero of our story. The Nespresso Vurtuo line of makers. I have to say, I was skeptical, and not expecting a lot from another pod machine. I was wrong. It is enjoyable, and an extremely satisfying cup of coffee, and espresso as well. *A word about the broken machines in Reviews* All the negative reviews seem to be about build/ship quality in regards to the water tank. Mine was perfect on arrival and no cracks etc. I think that the problem is the design. Most people are used to "pulling" tasks up and off. This one is more of tilt off then up motion. So I think it might be easy to damage un-intentionally. I also think its a good idea to watch the Nespresso YouTube Channel about your specific machine. Its very well put together and informative.

Highly recommended but don’t expect this to last forever. I bought my first one less than two years ago and it produces great coffee. Yes, it does use the vertuo pods and they are more expensive than ground coffee machines. But it’s cheaper than Starbucks and some pods taste better. As my first machine machine neared it’s two year mark, the machine got very loud (think jet engine loud), and the turn-to-open pod dispenser knob slowly stopped working. So I needed to find a replacement. After reading reviews of the newer units, I decided to buy this older model again. The push button style seemed problematic with some dying after a few months. The newer turn to open models seemed better but some had problems. Not sure if it’s inferior parts, poor quality or something due to supply chain issues So I went back to the original. And love it. It’s quiet, the knob turns easily, and I swear it produces a little more coffee than my last one. I’ll probably have to buy another one in two years, but I’m okay with that

I have prepared Nespresso coffee at home for over five years and love it for the easy brew process and flavor. I purchased this machine to use in my business office. I have used the new machine for several days and like its features – large water supply tank (fewer refills), large spent capsule tank (fewer needs to empty), adjustable brew-water amount (although I am quite happy with the default settings), and I believe it runs just a bit quieter (though, my original machine has never been too loud). The only problem: When the machine first arrived, I was unable to run the initial “first-use” cleaning cycle. The machine would not draw water from the water supply tank. (I believe this to be an understandable issue for any “water” pump that is initially dry since the pump, which is obviously designed to pump “water”, is initially trying to pump “air”. The user manual acknowledges that this may happen on a rare occasion. Once the pump has drawn water, this should never happen again.) After failure at two normal cleaning cycle attempts, I called the Nespresso support line. To their great credit, they talked me through a set of actions that corrected the problem and they remained on the line with me the whole time. While I would strongly encourage Nespresso to find a way to eliminate this type of problem, I must say that the machine works beautifully and I would not hesitate to order another if the need should arise. (Because Nespresso online support was exceptional, my rating reflects solely my satisfaction of the working machine.)

My second Nesspresso machine in about eight years of daily use. The first, a Breville, was a good machine. In the end the Breville became too noisy for my liking. But it never stopped working. I passed it on to a friend. Anyway, I am pleased with this purchase after many months of use. It is quiet---as a new machine should be---and has a nice clean design.

I replaced my 20 year old Nespresso and like this one just as well. Definitely would recommend it!!! Great coffee!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. The Nespresso machine this seller sent me did not work. I requested a replacement, and Amazon showed one was on its way, but the seller canceled it. I never received the replacement. The seller accepted the defective machine I returned and withheld roughly half the purchase price as a “restocking fee.” I had to order another machine fulfilled by Amazon. Now I’m going through hell trying to get a complete refund for the malfunctioning machine I returned. Amazon’s system says I was refunded in full, but representatives confirmed that I only received a partial refund, and its customer service has not resolved the missing amount. Amazon’s seller guidance says a restocking fee should not be charged when an item arrives defective. This experience has been unacceptable! I will NEVER order from a third-party seller again, and I will strongly consider making time to shop at a storefront where I feel more valued instead of Amazon. The stress and hassle of resolving a defective order are not worth it.

Killer product and coffee ... just besure not to ever use the refillable products... it literally will destroy your machine.
