So, my wife broke my elite controller's left shoulder button, which is something I feel like should have been impossible given the price of an elite controller... but that's beside the point.As a replacement, this set is perfect, they're the same color as the native ones, installation is relatively simple if you're a techy person. That said, YOU DO NEED THE RIGHT SCREWDRIVERS WHICH ARE T8 SECURITY SCREWS.I placed that in all caps because as a previous computer tech I had plenty of security heads and assumed the 8 was among them, it was not, and the closet fit was still lacking the security hole in the center. These screws are not something microsoft used to bolster the integrity of the controller, and are solely in this thing to make life harder on you. That said, I was able to remove the center one with a standard T9 and a properly sized flathead will fit snuggly next to the security pillars and allow you use it as a support lever to press the edges of a flat head into the crevices and unscrew them. I had all the other soft pry items, so I went ahead with my replacement and was perfectly successful, but it took 30 minutes instead of 10 due to the problematic nature of doing a job without the right tools, and I had a few other complications.Regardless, get the kit with these bumpers, reuse the stock centerpiece, and you're good to go.

As others have noted, the finish is not the same color as the original and looks cheaper. It's more of a painted matte finish rather than the shinier chrome of the OEM. I expected that and don't really care. It's cheap enough that the cosmetics don't matter and if that was the only problem I'd still rate it 5*.Unfortunately that's not the only problem. The small tabs that push on the buttons for the bumpers are too long. When fitted, this causes the buttons to be pushed all the time. Due to the lever arm length of the bumpers, these only move a tiny amount for a large bumper movement. This means that the tabs have to be trimmed back a very small but very precise amount in order to actuate properly. It took many attempts of filing them down and test fitting to get it right since. Since material can't be added once too much is removed it's a slow and painful process. Eventually it works but not after a lot of work. That obviously shouldn't be necessary and these parts are poorly made.

I was hesitant to get this. Thee are lots of options on Amazon, and they all seem to have a good amount of bad reviews. Saying colors don’t match, that it’s broken already, paint peeling out of the box, etc, etc, etc. I took a chance on THIS particular product you are looking at.Not sure if I got lucky, but this thing is PERFECT. the colors are an exact match with the triggers on the Elite controller. Some people complain about the center tab not being there on the center part where the round button goes...it wasn’t on ours either, but I have no idea why I want it? It installed perfect and looked flawless after install? What would that missing tab have done? Maybe it doesn’t matter because the other side tabs are there? Bottom line, I don’t think it’s a flaw or a mistake.We did this to replace broken bumpers on my son’s Elite controller. Also added a new soft touch Elite faceplate, and some silver accent rings / switch. It transformed his $150 Elite controller which was completely unusable, into the most awesome looking controller in the House!I’m just an average guy from Texas, zero experience taking apart ANY controller....this was so easy, quality was fantastic, and the controller went from broken / unusable to perfect in 15-20 minutes. Can’t recommend getting this enough!

I ordered the bumper assembly and they sent me a broken one (proboably broke in transit). I requested a new piece and they sent a new one relatively quickly. Installing it was tough. It was not a perfect fit. I had to shave down the pegs that hit the buttons inside the remote. But with a little love and time, it works pretty good! Its not perfect, but it gets the job done.If you are ordering a replacement assembly for a remote, make sure you do your research to for which assembly you need. There are multiple and this one might not fit yours. A lot of the assemblies on amazon are mislabeled, so just be careful!

It came snapped but I glued it

Plastic very cheap and extremely thin that is breaks easily. Poor fitment don’t purchase. Had to return it as couldn’t use it as it was broken.

The bumper fit but I had to remove them from the Center where the home button and use original because it did not fit properly

Fits good, but very cheap plastic. Definitely takes a bit to install. Youtube definitely helps for that.

The part is not OEM.You'll find seams from the mould from which it came from.Small gaps and bad fit. 3/5The feel and use...lesser handle OEM. It doesnt feel or sound like the OEM. 2/5
