Good intro to body ball rolling
When dealing with a specific activity as a beginner, a video is worth a lot, maybe not a 1,000, but a lot of still pictures. So it is with body ball rolling. It was excellent to see the originator walk around a bunch of new students as she ran them through all the drills for using a body rolling ball. Front and back portions of the body were covered. The reason I didn't give this video 5 stars is that the instructor never explains how to determine the amount of air a body ball should have. In other words...how hard should the ball be? Really full or not? She could have done this with a squeeze test (how far can you push the ball in...yeah, it's subjective) or even a circumference measurement for different colored balls (divide by Pi...3.14159 to get the diameter). In this video, she does have the students switch to a less firm ball for the abdominal exercises. What? The balls expand as air is added. Since the pump does not measure air pressure, all that is left is how firm the ball is. Yeah, a heavier skin ball will be harder than a light skin ball given the same air pressure...which she never mentions! She has her students shift from red balls for their backs to yellow balls for their abdomens. The other issue here is ball size. The recommendation on her website is that the average person should get the gold ball. It's way bigger than the red ball the students were using in this video. No way to rest your head on the ball and your shoulders on the mat unless the ball is way under-inflated. I inflated my gold ball to 9 inches and it's hard! Not much give. On her website, she lists it at 10 inches!!! To get my head on the ball and shoulders on the mat, I used an under-inflated silver ball...7 inch diameter, not the 9 inches on her website.Yeah, okay...the ball in the picture on this video is red. She doesn't even sell those anymore. Still, this is the video that goes out with the balls she currently sells in kits. It would be nice if they came with better instructions on how to determine ball size and hardness depending on use.

Yamuna Body Rolling
I have tried LOTS of methods to deal with flexibility (lack of) and back pain. I was stunned by the instant results. I didn't believe them. But 12 hours after my 2nd session with Yamuna, I went to my Pilates class where my instructor had recently expressed concern about my lack of range-of-motion in my legs. So that night while we were doing side work, I thought it felt easier but didn't think anything of it until my instructor said, "Gosh, you are able to move your legs so much further." It's amazing. I do have to keep at it as my day jobs wreaks havoc on my body, but I am totally motivated.

Good instruction and demos for the most part
The title of the DVD is misleading. It is not a total body workout as it excludes calves, feet, most of the arm. A more correct title would be Total Torso Body Workout. Before rushing out and ordering the expensive Yamuna Balls and ball pump, try the body backball [...] or the j/fit 7" ball. They are a fraction of the price and available on Amazon.com. If this kind of work is not for you you will not have wasted $$$$$. I do like that Yamuna demonstrated the movements on a model before having her students do it for the camera. I like the concept of body rolling and it seems it could be very beneficial. I am disappointed that (in my opinion)the Yamuna DVD's and balls are overpriced.

Love the program, can live with the recording quality
I believe they simply converted their former VHS of this program to DVD. I bought this when I dispensed with my VCR, and it looks identical to the VHS. The technical quality is not high, and I don't care for the music in the background. Nevertheless, I give it top rating because it's a wonderful program and using the ball in this way is extraordinarily helpful for easing tight muscles and fascia.

This video is really helpful in getting started with the body rolling system. The first time I did it I could feel a difference when I did my yoga practice.

Effective body workout
Descriptive instruction and the technique works. However, the equipment that is sold separately is overpriced. The DVD did not describe all parts of the body.
