Kerlix Type Gauze Rolls 4"X4 yds, Sterile

First of all, I have never felt the need to review a product on Amazon, but I felt that it needed to be done because I was so happy with this product.The best part, it came early! I was about to leave for a few weeks of backpacking in colorado, and needed to re-stock my first aid pack. It came six days before it was scheduled to, and came in time for my trip!The product is of great quality, and came in nice sized rolls. Each individually sealed, which is great for sterility and packing. Could not be happier with this product!

I have a wound on the bottom of my foot and Kerlix is the bandage of choice by my podiatrist so I ordered these to use in between doctor visits. Product is perfect but shipping was not. It arrived 2 days later than the latest estimate so I was forced to go buy a couple rolls of lesser quality gauze which stuck to my wound. I was not pleased but just relieved that the good gauze finally came in.

This gauze is a loose weave, and individual fibers may get stuck in the wound, so it works better as an over-layer, not the first layer. There is enough to wrap around the whole limb several times, and to do this several times, which makes it an economical overwrap. If you're looking for a first-layer over the wound material, I recommend the tighter-weave pads, not this roll, so I gave it only 4 stars.

What do you say about gauze ? I use a lot of this (4-5 rolls a week). My husband is diabetic, has no feeling in his feet and lower legs, and has restless leg syndrome, so he's very susceptible to wounds on the back of his heels. I have to wrap his ankles/heels every day to protect them, so we go through a lot of this stuff, and delivery is always quick and reliable.

Try and buy these in the stores and you'll pay anywhere from $4.97 each to $6.97 each in California. Great deal on these and it's exactly what the hospitals use. If you have to use Gauze for a reason these easily applied rolls are the way to go. A good way to cover a wound and let it breathe at the same time.

I ordered Kerlix Gauze rolls 4 inches by 4 yds. sterile and the typical 4 rolls per package from Medline.What I received was Chinese manufactured rolls 4.5 inches by 4.1 yd rolls individually packaged under brand name Caring.With all the counterfeiting and poor quality control, I would never except any "sterilized" medical products made in China.I'm even uncertain how my order to Medline was transferred to Super Medical Supply.This is the last time I will purchase anything related to medical supplies from Amazon.Cannot trust them. What a big waste of my time. Would not advise based on my experience. Go directly to mfg. distributor.

We tried to save a little money using this brand from Amazon.com called "Caring" vs. what we got from the medical supply company / hospital called "ReliabMed" brand. We found this brand from Amazon.com was much inferior. It is much shorter and thinner. They claimed 4.1 yards in length but it is "stretched" measurement as per the packaging. It is really half the length comparing to the hospital brand. A result, blood and body fluid from the surgical wounds go through it immediately and it is difficult to hold the non-stick gauze in place over the wound because it was so thin. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I thought , from the picture, that I was getting 3 rolls for the price. I only received one roll for the price. Be forewarned. There are better values, upon further investigation.Arrived in a timely manner.
