MP3036 Thermometer, Stainless Steel

Tested in the smoker, along with another probe to compare, they showed the same temperature. Note: The built in temperature probe in the smoker showed a lower 30 degree F (which is why I used another seperate external probe to compare this one with). Smoker is a Smoke Hollow 3016DEW.

works great. only thing is that it revealed the smoke hollow smoker I have is reading 20 degrees higher than the internal temperature of the smoker! And this is within the specs of the probe and the smoker combined! +/- 5 for probe and +/- 15 for smoker.

Would be a nice item if it were more accurate. It is just a little off compared to other thermometer's I have that are stand alone. It's still usable with certain meats. Will have to wait and use it more to see how well it holds up.

I would not use my Smoke Hollow without this digital thermometer. My only complaint is that for the price of the smoker, the thermometer should be included! Simply put, it works just as it is supposed to. Plug it into your digital control panel, insert into your meat, close the door and you will have an accurate reading on the temperature of your meat as it cooks. Perfect for novice smokers like me who really want to turn out a great product!!!

Reviews of this probe are all over the board but I needed the probe for my Smoke Hollow digital smoker so tried one. I should have used my stand alone probe/thermometer to check the accuracy of this thing but just did not think about it at the time. I put one half of a boned out wild turkey breast in the smoker, which was set at 225 F (and the smoker holds the temperature very accurately). The Smoke Hollow booklet says poultry is done at 180 F so I kept an eye on how things were progressing. It took about an hour for the probe to report 140 F and stayed there. When there was no change in probe temperature for close to another hour, I was beyond suspicious and checked what I had. I had a very overdone turkey breast, well smoked, good flavor, but not going to repeat this again (also had a couple sweet potatoes, whole, which could have gone a little longer but were good as is). So this probe is first item I have ever returned to Amazon, process went smoothly. I like the digital readouts and everything else about this smoker, which I used previously for smoking paddlefish (they smoke well, gets rid of fat) but got to get the probe issue taken care of.

The resistance of the probe was a little bit different than what the manual required. But strangely the thermometer was accurate to the degree. Maybe the manual was wrong. I guess some people were getting the incorrect probe. That was not the case for me. I got the correct straight probe sent to me

Since this was coming from the Masterbuilt company I thought for sure it would work with my particular model smoker. I looked all over the Internet for a temperature probe that specifically stated it was for my smoker but could only find this particular probe from Masterbuilt. When I received it, I discovered it will not work with my smoker as the plug is much smaller than the original plug on the probe that came with the smoker.

Worked well with my pork roast in my smoke hollow I was skeptical but it came out awesome I would recommend

Purchased this probe because all research I’ve found on it said it works with the 430G BUT that’s not the case, IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE 430G the plugins are to small

Was mot as stated this probe does not fit master built gravity series as statedRubbish the probe plug is the wrong size for this bbq
