The stock foam ear pads for my Peltor Tactical 100 electronic ear muffs had finally broken down, with shreds of the pads coming off. I was a little unsure about these as replacements, but rolled the dice and ordered, since the description specifically mentions the Peltor Tactical 100 as one of the models that these fit. Having gone through the whole process, I'm happy to report that these fit perfectly. I at first didn't really know how to install these, so let me help others doing the replacement by telling you that the best way to do it is to slip a flathead screwdriver under the plastic mounting plates the stock pads are attached from the inside, prying up from the hole that the speakers project sound through. Once you get your screwdriver under the plate, you have to just keep prying by gently pressing down on the screwdriver handle until the entire plate pops out. The plate is held in place with a flanged ring that fits into an oval recess inside the body of the ear cups. Once both plate are removed, you now have to install the new mounting plates, and you'll need strong fingers to get the flanged ring on the plate fully snapped into the oval recess inside the body of the ear cups, with the best way being to press into one end, holding it in place there with one hand, then pressing along the edge of the mounting plate all the way to the opposite end of the plate, then forcefully push there especially. You'll know that the plate is in place when you hear and feel a click as the flange snaps into place. After you have both new plates installed, just take a cotton ball dampened with some isopropyl alcohol and wipe off any hand oils and other contamination that might compromise the adhesive for the new pads. Once both mounting plates are now wiped clean, peel off the adhesive backing tape for one of the ear pads, then carefully position the ear pad onto the mounting plate to properly cover it to the edge. Repeat the process for the other side. I have to say these are more comfortable than the stock ear pads, and it's nice that I'll be able to get probably at least another ten years out of my excellent ear muffs.

These are an upgrade from the stock ones. Super easy to install, BUT you have to make sure you clean up the residu from the original ones first. If there's any residu left after you pull them off, I recommend good gone and a small painting brush. I had to do several rounds of applying, letting sit, then cleaning off. I used the end of one of those disposable chip sticks. The ones that have square ends on the end. Apply the goo gone. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, then proceed to scrape off with the end of the chop stick. Repeat as many times as needed until all of the residu is off. You'll then want to use a little dish soap and wipe off the residual goo gone. Before I apply the new pads, I clean the plastic one last time really well with rubbing alcohol. This will insure that the tape gets really good adhesion to the plastic. These are more comfortable, as well as more effective in noise cancelation than the original ones. Definitely cheaper than buying an entire new unit.

Works better than advertised. Install was simple and took less than a minute. Fit is perfect for my tactical 100s and they feel so much better than the stock cushions. As a pilot I’ve spent countless hours on headsets and these are comparable to the finest and make a huge difference for noise cancellation on the range. My only recommendation is that they would be just slightly thicker to help seal around eye protection.

I installed these on my old 3M Peltor Tactical 100 that I've had for about a decade. The bases fit which was nice, saved a bit of cleaning and getting old adhesive off. The fit for the bases was tight you have to work pretty hard to get them to snap in but once in they are solid, then it's a simple task to peel the backing and stick the pads on. The pads are a little thicker but honestly it's more comfortable now, and the noise blocking is at least twice as good as it ever was before, technically that's probably not true but it made a huge difference. I really like this old set a lot and the directional mics really allow you to know what direction a sound is coming from so I'm very happy to not meet to buy a new setup especially since if I want to mount these to my helmet rig I'm already set up.

Perfect fit!

Wonderful! I am using the 3M Peltor x5a in a gym, over my in-ear Sony BT buds. While the earmuffs really bring the surrounding strong and irregular noise down, so I can hear my own music (classical) at a normal level, they are difficult to wear: they're heating so strongly and make my ears abundantly sweat that I was not able to wear them more than 10-15 minutes in a row. The Gel Ear pads COMPLETELY changed this situation: I am now wearing the earmuffs for the whole time (around 45 minutes) with no deleterious effect on sound cancellation. It was really easy to replace the original 3M pads with these ones. There is still some sweating, but only toward the end, and it is acceptable (not pleasant) from my point of view.

スリーエム(3M) 3M PELTOR イヤーマフ X1A 国内正規品 用に購入。 プラスチックプレート付属とか接着剤がどうとか説明には書かれていましたが、プラスチックプレートにクッションがセットされた状態でした。 純正付属品の内側に指をかけて引っ張って外して、この商品をそのままはめ込むだけの手間のかからない交換作業になっており楽でした。 まだ仕事で使っていませんが、メッシュ素材を使っているわけでもないから遮音性に影響はないように感じます。 カバー素材が純正と比べたらツルツルで中身もシリコン？みたいなので、伝わった体温がそのままシリコンで保温されてしまうような感じがしました。人によっては長時間つけていると暑く感じるかもしれません。 付属のスポンジクッションと比べて倍以上の重さになってしまっていると思います。でも、着け心地が柔らかくなったので私は満足しています。

本来なら付属のプレートにジェルパッドを貼り付けて既存のパッドと容易に交換するのが理想ですが、パッド単品で来るので既存のパッドを剥がして付け直す必要があります。 ジェルパッドの付け心地は問題無かったです。
