Would this work on a nylon handbag that's gone floppy from being washed?

Doubt it. It didn't work that well on a crochet bowl that called for stiffener. Sprayed 3x's and was floppy

Does this work on crochet projects made of acrylic yarn?

I would think so. I sprayed my straw hat to make it stiffer and got overspray on my tablecloth. Didn’t know I had overspray until the next morning while having coffee. The tablecloth was stiff too.

is this product water based ?

Stiffen Stuff is a water based adhesive

Will this work on paper projects?

M. Paula,I purchased this product several years ago, I called it flour and water. For me its a useless product. Hope this will keep you from wasting your money...
