This kit consists of an adapter block that is mounted between the carburetor and the air cleaner. Fuel is then channeled to the proper area in the carburetor so that the original carburetor can control the fuel mixture just the same as running on gasoline. This is the best way to convert your existing gasoline generator into a propane generator, natural gas generator or a tri-fuel generator. Professionals NEVER rely on gasoline as the primary fuel source for their backup generators because of its limited shelf-life and the tendency for this commodity to be hoarded during emergencies and disasters. Now that you have invested in a backup generator, make sure that it runs when you most need it by converting it to use propane, natural gas or even convert it to use all three of the primary fuels (propane, natural gas, gasoline).

Best Product Ever!
Great product! My 7000 watt generator purrs like a kitten. It's very clean burning now and I never have to worry about foul fuel.

Great value. 20yr old generator sounds new!
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic value. No more gas station mad max senerios. Not that hard to install. The carb pegs screw right on over the top of the existing. The injector body was tight going over the new pegs. I used a long socket that fit over the pegs and walked it into place with a couple taps of the hammer. Biggest issue i had was my breather tube. The extension tubes weren't the right size. They were too small. Luckily I had 3/8" nylon tube adapter that I made a bulkhead adapter out of and it fit nicely into the breather tube. After that it was putting a T on my water 1/2" heater feed to and some valves, fittings and a gas hose to make the connection. You have to use gas valves and hoses. I also used brass fittings to stay away from the black iron corrosion issue. Galvanized I stay away from too with natural gas. That's me though I've seen professionals use it. I was taught to stay away because of potential flaking. I also mounted it above the frame it was too close to the muffler if I mounted it low. I bought a piece of 3/4" x 3' steel at Lowes and bent it to match the top rails. Last I put a coat of rustoleum paint on on the mounting steel. I didn't have to do that but it looks better than ever. Locktight and lock washers on the screws makes sure it won't vibrate loose. This generator is 20 yrs old and never sounded so good. To get a 5500 watt generator that is tri fuel would cost well over 1500. This kit with the fittings and mounting hardware was around $225 total. I was the labor.

This is a very easy kit to install
This is a very easy kit to install, but you will have to provide a few parts that is not included. I bought this kit because I had a street ell, nipple, shut-off valve and 1/2 mip x 3/8 flare fitting. I used the hose and regulator off of my gas grill. My plans are to run the plumbing from natural gas line and this will give me endless and more affordable fuel.

Failure to read is not the same as a misleading ad
Although the product title could be stated more clearly, this is NOT a misleading ad. Throughout this industry, kits of this type are for modifying small engine carburetors to accept gasses as well as gasoline, not for connecting propane tanks. The ad clearly states the numbers of parts to be bought separately in order to attach a propane tank.
