Small but awesome videos.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Bought this for my semi truck and it works great. It took me a while to get used to the controls and all the settings. I also bought the GPS mount and two memory cards. I take the memory card out, and look at the videos on my laptop, if I want to save any of the close calls and interesting ones. You can easily detach the GPS unit from the mount, and use the shorter cable that plugs into a usb port on your computer, but I prefer to pull the card out. You just have to be careful not to drop it because they are so small. You have to mount it somewhere so that your wipers keep the window clear in front of it especially in the snow. I have included some pictures of where I mounted it, where I plug it in, and a video of a close call in the rain one day.

Solid camera, discreet, works as it's supposed to.
Update 11-27-2018:Camera is now broken. I've changed the rating from five to two stars. The camera is now completely broken and doesn't record any video. I'm not sure if it's due to heat, or just poor quality electronics. My car is in the shade about 98% of the time, at home and at work, and somehow this camera still broke after 7 months. Very disappointing. Now I have to shop for another camera all over again.Previous Review:I've had this camera for about 3 months now and I am very happy with it. My previous dash cam (from a different company) cost twice as much and worked for about two hours before going dark permanently. This one was easy to set up.I like how easy it is to hide the camera discretely behind the rear view mirror. The only negative here is it makes it hard to see the screen or hit the buttons; you'll need to move the rear view mirror if you want to do that. The video and audio quality is good. The videos do take up a lot of room, I think I'm recording on one of the highest quality settings and my 32 GB memory card fills up in about 3 hours. The camera can use a memory card up to 128 GB though, so if you want to keep more video, you can.The camera has been surviving the Phoenix heat nicely so far, although my car is usually in the shade. If the camera starts experiencing any problems, I'll update this review.

Meh. Works great, when it works.
Well, I've had this for several months so now I feel prepared to leave a review. I'd say I'm 60-70% happy with this unit.Pros: Good video quality, good sound quality, and excellent aesthetics. It's practically invisible from inside the car if you hide it right (which isn't hard, because it's got a very small footprint) and it's very inconspicuous from the outside which was one of the main things I wanted.Cons: Buggy. Very buggy. It's stopped recording on me several times. I used to leave it plugged in to a USB outlet that gets power 24/7 with just motion detection on to help with parking incidents. However, that seemed to make it more buggy and start to become unresponsive (needing a complete reboot to get it working again). So then I plugged it into another USB port that powers on and off with the car. This seemed to help it's reliability a little, but it still goes into states every now and then where it freezes up and won't' respond. The most recent episode required a new firmware update and even that was hard to do because it wouldn't respond when plugged into the computer.Would I buy it again? Probably not. But I'm not unhappy enough with it to sell it and get another.

Nice dash cam
This has been a nice dash cam. Nice upgrade from the G1W-C I previously used. Have had no issues with video quality or audio quality. I especially like that it uses a super capacitor, there are days I don’t turn on the car for 4 days and the settings on this cam are still saved. My only complaint is I havent found a way to delete all files at once within the settings. I understand I can take the memory card out and delete the files on my computer but thats a hassle. If ive had no incidents i just want to be able to delete all files within the cam to reduce any looping issues. Also, the red light is hard to see durint the day and it doesn’t flash or blink to inform you recording is Occuring. I have to hit a button and look at the screen to see if recording has commenced.Overall id buy this again.

Saved my butt!
Based on Dashcam Talk I went with this model over the street guardian. Owned it for 3 months now and I can say it does what I need it to do. My previous dash cam (and first) was an ojocam that went bad after a year.Great thing about this is it's heat resistant (capacitor) in Florida's hot humid heat. I set it and forget it. The fact that the manufacturer are active on the forums and roll out firmware updates are a bonus as well.EDIT: Updated Review 2020I purchased August 17, 2017 and it is still working fine today October 27, 2020.On October 22, 2020 I was in an auto accident. Police weren't called since there was no injury so I only had my video to rely on. I pulled the video and submitted it to the insurance and it was clearly their fault. My car is now being repaired.Buying an updated model and this one will go to my rear window!

The last eye
I really like this camera. Everything works as advertised. The plug could have a tighter fit to avoid losing power at a critical moment. Quality video but a bit hard to read license plates when filming at night. Stealth operation if located behind rear view mirror. I would have given it 5 stars however the collision warning is not reliable. Sometimes it goes off and there are no cars around. Otherwise this is a gem

Indication of type of USB socket
I believe the seller should have indicated the unit has a Mini USB port. The hard wire kit details gave me the option of ordering the Mini or Micro USB kit, at the same time giving the impression both were compatible to the VIOFO A119S Dash Cam.I had to return the Micro USB kit at my expense, and finally deciding against the fitting of the kit because of the hassle involved. Very disappointed. All sellers involved should be serious and give clear and concise descriptions. In this case, the description simply said 'camera has a USB port'

Saved us TWICE!
My husband purchased this after he was in a car accident that was not his fault, but he was put at fault by the insurance company. Since purchasing this, he has been in 2 other accidents (it was a rough year). Both of these accidents would have been deemed his fault had he not had the video evidence to prove that his statements were true and the actions of others were the cause of the accidents. The picture quality is great both in day and night time. If installed correctly, you can barely see the wires. We also really like that it can be set to record the speed of driving on the video too. Overall, we both feel much safer driving knowing that we have the dash cam.

Excellent video quality but ZERO customer support!
Excellent video quality and smoothness. The video is sharp, well-exposed so that you can see the darker areas and night video is excellent also. I use the maximum frame rate of 60fps and this makes for much better viewing of signs and licence plates in the video. I have not purchased the polarizing filter yet but I just ordered it, due to excessive reflections from the car's windshield. I know that the polarizer will darken the videos a bit but hopefully, it will still be bright enough to view shadow details. The biggest problem: The technical support assumed I resolved my issue of getting camera to be recognized by my computer when I said that I got an SD card reader with USB connection. Neither windows 7 nor 10 recognize the camera. I tried both the short and the long cable which comes with it. So Viofo support is ZERO! Ironic since they have a very good product here.

Previous defective customer return
I am sending this dash cam back for several reasons.1. Item is defective and useless. As soon as it is plugged in and powered on the screen continuously flickers and a vague black line starts to appear, then the unit power cycles and the process repeats.2. Quality of the unit seems very poor. I am very disappointed.I would recommend that you spend a few bucks extra and get a better unit.

Great recorder, bad features.
Video quality during daylight is great. You can see the plates around you when you're close enough but not quite.Video quality during the night is clear and smooth but you won't be able to read their plates unless you're right behind a car and close enough and stationary. If you need a dashcam to record what's going on in front of you, it's great but I paid a little more for some of the features that work, sometimes.Lane departure is weird and it will sometimes tell me when I am too close to another car but it is very inconsistent. It does not record when I am parked as mentioned. This is the biggest downside to me. I bought the product to record when someone is backing up on me in a parking lot.Haven't tried the GPS.

Great for what I needed it for, but...
This is a great dash cam, the quality is great in day and night and it's 60fps!Cons:-Doesn't have HDR like other new dash cams.-Parking mode works, but someone broke into the car in front of mine and it missed the entire thing. It seems to take a 2-4 minutes to go into standby and back into recording mode and within the 2-4 minute gap in video, it missed something important. This is probably a 1 off, so I wouldn't say this is a deal breaker.
