Item is exactly what is described! Arrived in a timely manner and my husband was able to repair our dryer very easily! Saved us several hundred dollars on a professional repair. There are lots of great youtube videos out there with instructions and it was ultimately an easy fix.

After my dryer quit heating I started searching online about what could be the problem with a dryer that runs but doesn't heat and it came down to this fuse. Installation was very easy and right after installing it the dryer worked. I recommend you get a voltmeter to test each fuse for continuity. My dryer was a Whirpool.

Instructions were good, once I knew how to test the electric continuity on the broken one. I was then able to know that the thermostat was not operating. tested the new part and it was. Easy install, worked immediately! It was the second thermostat that was an issue, not the initial one that comes with the heater coil kit. So, bought the heater coil and two thermostats before the dryer was working. Still, about 25% of what a service call would be and I now have a back up coil and thermostat!!!

I used this product to replace the thermal fuse on my Roper dryer since it was not heating up. This was the second one I ordered due to the prongs on the first one I ordered and they were bent down When I received it. When I put it in the first time it only worked for a few Minutes then it went out again. But also I put my dryer straight on to high heat not sure if that’s what made it go out or the bent prongs causing it to be a defect. But the second time I ordered it has been working ever since. The prongs weren’t bent on this second one I ordered But also I am not putting my dryer on high heat. I keep it on low heat and it’s been working since. The part was really easy to put on not even 5 min to replace it.
