This added some height to a bench seat at the foot of our bed! and we're extremely happy!

OEM replacement for furniture in my partner's house. So I don't expect them to be any stronger or weaker, and I suppose they all have an equal chance of breaking.Looking at other reviews here, one thing comes to mind. You must realize that this design is strong in the "compression" direction - that is, once the chair is upright, it will have no problem supporting a couple heavy people with a lapful of dogs. However, they are weak in the "shear" direction - that is, side-to-side movement. The metal bolt is much stronger than the surrounding plastic, so you can't let the metal bolt apply any transverse (sideways) forces into the plastic. It's like sticking a screwdriver under the lid of a tub of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter to pry the lid off.So for maximum customer satisfaction, you *must* do two things: one, make sure the legs are tight against the mounting hardware on the base of the furniture; any looseness will allow side-to-side motion and will shortly lead to catastrophic failure. In fact it's not a bad idea to go 'round your house right now and tighten all the furniture legs.Second, once you have assembled the legs with the furniture upside-down, when you go to flip it right-side-up, try not to lever it over by letting the legs touch on one side. Get two people, flip it over in the air, and set it straight down. Then pile on the people, dogs, and bowls of snacks.

We bought two sets of these legs to bring the height, of our current couch and love seat, a few inches higher for better comfort. These legs definitely do the job. We have been using these legs for 6 months almost headache free.Pros: Height are exactly 5 Inches, product came as described, product came quickly, and it was a perfect fit as a replacement to our shorter legs.Cons: Quality of materials may be questionable. The legs themselves are made of a medium gauge plastic. The threads are made of a low to medium grade steel. The threads are fine, but after about four months of use, the female plastic threading that keeps the metal studs in place, snapped and broke (See attached Photos).Overall, we are pleased with the legs, but I brought down a star because of the fact that one of the legs broke. I have decided that because of it's just 1 of 8 legs defective, we have since went back and are awaiting the arrival of a third set.Go ahead a buy these legs. For the price, you can't go wrong. I will update review after a couple of months of use on the third set.

I was having problems getting up from my very old sofa and love seat. Since I didn't want to purchase a new one at this time, I decided to do a 'search' on my favorite shopping website Amazon.com. It never dawn on me in the previous years to search for taller sofa legs. To my amazement, I found these Leg Daddy 5 inch Tapered Sofa Legs. What a difference a few inches has made. I know longer struggle to rise up from my sofa or loveseat. They are sturdy and are the same type of legs as the original ones that I replaced. I can't believe that it has taken me many, many, many years to look for these. A few years back, I had pieces of lumber cut to scale to place under the cushions but this didn't help much. When guests would sit, I always cringed at the effort it took them to stand up, but not anymore. These sofa legs are the best and will work well until I can fit a new sofa and loveseat into my budget and even then, I will remove them and keep just in case I want a little more height added to whichever new sofa/love seat I eventually purchase in the future. In the bad old days, if the leg on a sofa broke either you would have to fashion some substandard replacement, get a stack of books/bricks, hire someone to fix it at an outrageous rate OR toss the sofa.When this happened to me earlier this week, I went to my trusty friends at Amazon and found these legs for $20 bucks and within two days (Prime member) I was back in business with an exact replacement that took 5 minutes to install!Some here have said that this leg is hollow, which is true, but it is an EXACT replacement for the one that was on my couch.I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars, because a more heavy duty version (better than the original) could have been made, but I am VERY HAPPY with the legs so far and they saved me a lot of money, time & hassle.99.9% of the time I find myself thrilled with Amazon, providing an easy fix to this mundane problem falls into that category.

I used these after I moved and misplaced my original sofa legs, they work very well, though five inches raised the sofa considerably more than the original legs. I found this to actually be an advantage, once I got used to feeling as though I was "perched up" on the couch, because my  iRobot Braava 320 Floor Mopping Robot  can fit entirely underneath the sofa and you wouldn't believe how much dust is in these hard to reach places. What makes it a 5 star product is that after I moved again, I found the original feet, and I thought I would put those back on instead, but they screws stripped. These legs ended up being sturdier even though they are not the original design and it was the second time around. One thing that takes a little forethought is predrilling holes for these to go into, try to make them symmetrical and minimize drawing padding and fabric into the action of the drill.
