Q: Has anyone run this kiln at 2200 for several hours?

Yes, I have heated to 1200°C (2192°F) for 6 to 8 hours at a time. It will make the coils wear out faster, and the finish on the top and top sides of the kiln will discolor. But it will work. If you do it often if might be good idea to raise the kiln up a little and add fans to the bottom of the electronics compartment to help keep the PID controller and solid state relay inside cool. I did this and it helped keep the temperature they were exposed to down.

I haven't tried it but I don't see why not, within the size limitations of the oven. The programmable controller can ramp to and hold whatever temperature you like. I suppose if you crowded the elements you might have an issue of spot heating the model.
