Is it easy to kick them out of place when backing up to squat or do they stay put?

They stay out. It sort of depends on the person. I haven’t had this issue. They don’t slip because they are made of cork.

Do shoes end up breaking up the cork material? I see purchasers only wearing socks.

If you are wearing spike shoes you will probably damage them! Otherwise they are very sturdy! I wear regular running shoes with no issues on the cork wedges. Good luck!
