A great choice if you don't want an in-tank overflow
I have 2 of these on my 120 gal display for 2.5 years. They're not cheap but they were a good option for eliminating the in-tank overflow and are very slim, allowing my tank to be close to the wall.I drilled the tank myself, which was terrifying, but not difficult. The hose kit is quite expensive but you can also use standard size hoses to save a bit of money.

Wish I could ask Julian/Xaqua for my money back!!!!!
Was so very excited to drill and overflow my low iron, beveled edges, clear silicone 22L $400 tank with the IN/OUT. Well it quickly turned into a nightmare! Within 2 days, I started to notice a leak behind the unit. I partially drained the tank (full of livestock) and cleaned/resealed the unit in place. This time, the leak came back must sooner, so I did it again but in the last try I noticed that I could not get the overflow to tighten. Mind you, I've been doing this for years so I always and I mean always highhanded overflow/bulkheads. So I kept on turning the nut which got easier and easier only to then just pop out of the unit! THE HORROR!Had a tank full of fish and corals with I could not longer flow into the sump!To make matters worse, it was time to decide whether or not I would trust to buy another unit or just go with another brand. Problem is that I affixed the unit to my tank without separating it into drain and return so I had TWO holes that would not fit any other overflow configuration, again THE HORROR!At the end, I had to spend another $400 for another 22L, then another $125 for a different overflow while I kept my pets in a half filled tank with a carbon reactor and a protein skimmer hanging off its sides. Not good enough Two Little Fishies!!!! Believed in you close to 20 years ago, but no more!

Foolproof drill template? Yeah, about that...
Do as I say, not as I do! This thing comes with a really nice plexiglass drill template... it even has the words "Drill Templage" etched right there on it. I took the drill template out, placed it on the tank and started to drill away. When I was finished, I grabbed the overflow to check it's fit. I quickly found out that I apparently had the template backwards! Just because the words "Drill Template" were correctly facing doesn't mean the template was correctly facing. Apparently the wording on my template needed to be backwards. So, now I'm stuck with a tank with two holes in it that should really be flipped around. I have still figured out a way to make it work though. I'm making both holes the same size and I'm taking that nice drill template and siliconing it to the back of the tank. We shall see how that works. And since I've not had a chance to use it yet, I don't know how well the overflow unit will work but so far, I think it will do exactly what I want!Just learn from my mistake and double check to make sure you have the template facing correctly. Don't just trust the wording. Actually grab the overflow unit and make sure it's facing correctly.

Thought this would be awesome but not so much
Extremely disappointed! At this price point, it doesn't include a drill bit. You would have to spend extra to buy not one but two hole saw drill bits. The overflow lines use a 1.5 inch hole. It's no easy to find a hose that fits and looks good. Two little fishies sells the hose for $70. $70!!!!! Why have a 1.5 inch hole when the product only pushes 660 GPH? Also, if you have a tank with a rim on it, you would have the water line 1 inch below the rim.At the end of the day I guess it will work but at what cost?... I'll tell you. Close to $200 for an item that should be at a $40 - $50 price bracket. The owner of Two Little Fishies, Julian Sprung, doesn't even use this POS.
