Great Decaf Instant Tea
For many years I used Lipton Instant Decaf Tea until it sadly disappeared from the shelves a few years ago. Fresh brewed decaffeinated tea has always been an option but I admit to certain laziness I blame my age, way past the 3 score years and ten, according to Scripture. Lipton was the best tasting instant and I ordered it by the case from good old Amazon, mostly. I did keep an eye on store prices for sales and the only warning from the manufacturer was seeing bottles on the shelves marked Clearance. Store brands were mostly already discontinued. Finally only a few resellers offered the product at insanely elevated prices up to $30 USD per 3 ounce bottle. There were still canisters of sugar sweetened and artificially sweetened instant tea but no decaf instant tea. Then I found Civilized Coffee brand who makes both regular Instant Asdam Black Tea and the decaf version. I gulped at paying $15 to $16 USD a small jar but it tasted quite good and it wasn't as pricey as it seemed. Each jar was 8 ounces by weight and the brand name was only 3 ounces and had filler to be easier to dissolve. Each Civilized Coffee smaller container had an included tiny scoop holding just 1/4 teaspoon which makes 8 ounces of hot (or cold) tea. The scoop can be stored in the jar and stilled be tightly closed. The tea tastes and smells very much like fresh brewed. The itty-bitty jar makes as much liquid tea as 2 2/3 jars of the brand name and tastes better. Doing the math, the Civilized Coffee brand decaf was either the same or a better bargain! There is a tiny trade off in dissolveability. It's pretty much truly instant in hot water but a bit tricky in cold liquid. Either dissolve on a bit of hot water first or stir it very thoroughly in colder water. Kwpt tightly sealed the shelf life is over a year. Not a manufacturer claim, but what I learned from finding an extra jar misplaced after a move for about 18 months. I have a body plumbing issue that makes me intolerant of caffeine. I can only handle one regular cup of coffee or a single shot of espresso without paying an annoying price. Iced tea is my drink of choice with meals and most other times. How I wish restaurants would invest in a few jars of decaffeinated tea! This product is the best I've found for the combination of decaf, convenient form and affordability with overnight delivery available with Prime. The price has been the same from Amazon as direct from Civilized Coffee who also ships for free if not as fast. Be advised that both the company and Amazon may run out of stock so keep a jar ahead in the pantry once you know that you like it. It's going to be near freezing tonight so my tea will be hot tea with a shot of True Lime. .

Good Decaf Instant Tea Choice
Was hunting for a decaf choice after Lipton discontinued their decaf instant tea. I make a Chai mix from scratch and needed a decaf choice. The flavor is slightly different but found I can use slightly less as the tea part of the mix because of the strength and that helped smooth out the flavor. Ordered it once and just ordered it again.

Pretty Good
Tastes fine. One jar makes a lot of tea. Tends to clump and stick together so requires thorough stirring.

Great value, delicious decaffeinated Assam.
I had been looking for an instant tea with no sugar or citric acid so I could make a quick cuppa in the morning instead of instant coffee. I have an espresso machine, and a whistling kettle, but I use my instant hot water to keep a quiet morning flow going. I also wanted decaf but was willing to settle for caffeine if I had to. When I came across this tea on Amazon (while checking my shopping list at Walmart) I was delighted. And itโs decaffeinated too! I immediately put it in my online cart to check it out when I got home. After checking the measurements, price per serving, and the benefit of less packaging waste than my tinned tea sachets ($5.36 for 20 per tin) I decided to place my order. Today it arrived. I followed the instructions to make a cup with 1/4 teaspoons of tea and found it delicious. Some reviews were suggesting a teaspoon and a half, but that may be more of an Irish Breakfast robust tea. I love the 1/4 teaspoon cup. I should get a lot more value, and since my tea was .26 per cup before, I am thrilled with the savings. I couldnโt be happier with my purchase!

My new favorite iced tea!
I love this. I drink iced tea every single day โ at least a half gallon overnight, close to the same during the day. For years I brewed tea bags, but eventually I wanted something more convenient. Instant powders from my childhood don't cut it anymore โ the flavor isn't there, and the servings run out fast. I asked AI what the best tea for iced tea actually is. The answer came back: Assam black tea. So I tried this. The powder is very fine and dissolves easily. My method: a spoonful in a small measuring cup, a few tablespoons of hot water, stir until dissolved, then fill the cup with cold water and pour the whole thing into a 64oz bottle. Top it off with water and ice. What I got was unexpected โ good, but different from anything I was used to. Over time I started experimenting. Fresh lemon juice was the first addition. Then I started mixing in instant Earl Grey powder, and that combination turned into something genuinely special. At this point I prefer Assam iced tea over standard black tea โ which I did not see coming. The number of servings in one container is impressive. For daily drinkers at my volume, that matters. Highly recommend.

Absolutely flavorless
My Lipton decaf instant tea expired and they don't make it anymore so I decided to try this brand. Its presentation is moderately elegant and I expected something with a reasonably rich flavor for the price. Much to my dismay, it not only didn't deliver but it is absolutely flavorless. If I were blindfolded I wouldn't know it was tea. I don't recommend it.
