Perfect for travel with morton's neuroma
I wore these shoes all day long walking through the streets of Porto and Lisbon in Portugal (lots of cobble roads and uphill walking...like most towns in Italy and France.) It was a 5 day trip and the temperature outside was up in the 90's and 100. I have morton's neuroma on my right foot in addition to some heel pain. I wear a size 9.5 wide or size 40. These sandals were wonderful. I know they don't look that great, but i needed something with the cushion found in gym shoes along with the freedom for foot swelling (caused by heat). I switched sandals at night only because I read somewhere that you should and I also wanted something slightly more dressier. I wore Keen's Naples sandal but, it did not account for my foot swelling. Keen included elastic to allow growth but the straps were too stiff and didn't stretch fast enough ( I purchased both pairs of shoes from amazon only a few days before my trip.) I hope this info helps! I searched in many places looking for recommendations from those that live with Morton's neuroma.

I loved the shoe so I reordered 10N (a whole size ...
Originally I ordered 11N in denim. I had to return them because they were WA-A-A-Y TOO LONG. The sandal extended 1.5 inches beyond my big toe. I loved the shoe so I reordered 10N (a whole size smaller). Since pewter was a the only color available in 10 N, I ordered pewter. I really wanted these sandals regardless of color. The 10N fits fine and the pewter is not gaudy. These sandals have 3 adjustable straps. The strap around the ball of the foot adjusts nicely to accommodate a bunion. This feature makes each shoe FIT MY FOOT so the sandals STAY WITH ME as I walk. The ankle strap is adjustable as well as the heel strap. There is an interesting pad attached to the heel strap which makes these shoes very comfortable. I did not need to adjust the heel strap. I also love the fact that these sandals have a heel lower than most other sandals of comparable style.

My picky feet love these!!
Love this sandal. My feet blister if they even look at any shoe other than a Newport Keen style or similar style Keen. The sandal is fully adjustable and butter soft inside. So soft and smooth I do worry that my feet might slide too much on long days of walking but thus far it's been very nice. I bought the wide width, being used to the traditional style Keen sandals with a wide forefoot area, but I actually might have gotten away with the normal width. None-the-less I was able to tighten the forefoot/ball of foot area just slightly for a perfect fit. Give these a go if you have picky feet, you might be pleasantly surprised. I normally wear a 10.5 in Keen Newport and the 10 Wide in these fit fine.

Clarks Hatch Sandal with backstrap
I have severe foot problems, high arches, transverse tarsal joint pain into the cuneiforms and separations between them. No fix for them, so chronic pain. BUT these shoes are awesome. they strap just above the area closest to the ankle joint and across the distal metatarsals. I need to put a little insert into the arch area still, but I wore these all day for 2 days in a row, and even though I had a little pain ( NOTHING will ever get rid of it). It was reduced by 85 % with these sandals. Usually I need to take shoes off during the day and sit because my feet get tired and have a radiating throb in the upper part of my feet, but it was so minimal when I wore these shoes and at times I did not notice any pain. I love these sandals. If you want a pair, they run pretty true to size, But you can go to a store that sells orthotic shoes and see if they carry them and try them on ( that is how I found these). There is also a back strap across the back ankle area padded for extra comfort that protects from rubbing and making a blister.

Comfortable everyday walking sandal
Wonderfully reliable fit, important when returning a product is not an option. Very functional, comfortable sandal. It would be excellent for travelling when you need to be on your feet most of the day. Straps are adjustable velcro which means that they can be loosened if feet swell, hurt or are slightly different sizes. The styling is a compromise between fashion, function, comfort and outdoor. This works quite well for me but would not suit everyone. The sole is moulded in one piece. This is not particularly unattractive due to the low profile of the sandal. Overall would recommend this very practical sandal.

Basic Sandal--comfortable, adjustable!!
Seeing that the upper midwest has a frigid spring, I have not been able to "road test" these yet but I look forward to wearing them. They are lightweight but sturdy. I usually wear an 8.5 N in a closed shoe and this fits well in that size so they are consistent with the sizing of Clarks Unstructured--a great line for comfort. Because there are few options in a narrow width, I have been watching this sandal for special pricing and it was worth the wait. The construction is of good quality and adjustablity of both straps allows you to custom fit it to your foot. The pewter color is a nice option for a neutral--go with everything shoe. All in all, I would recommend as a great casual sandal.

Comfort and ease of putting on
Worn twice with socks so far. Were very comfortable to walk in. Havent worn sockless yet to see if abrasive across toes and at heel straps where usually have problems. Wear 9 1/2n. Should have ordered 10n. Seem a little short. Toes almost go over front edge. Why I didnt give 5 star rating. Am an avid Merrell and Rockport fan. Second pair of Clarks. Satisfied with first pair so tried another.Update 6-23-14. Have worn several times sockless. Very comfortable, no abrassion by straps. Just be sure to secure velco tightly, otherwise feet sliparound feet when walking.

MY FEET LOVE THEM
I love them. They fit perfect, leather is nice and soft, so are the bottoms.Usually I will have at least one part of the shoe that will rub me wrong and cause soreness or a blister. These had no such spots. Love it... the only negative thing I can say is that they could have added just a little more arch support, these seem to need a little more. But my feet have become very flat over the years, so that might not bother someone with regular arches. I have problem feet and a really bad heel on one foot, these are really soft and have lots of cusion. These are my third pair of sandals made by Clark and I loved all three.
