So far so good
I just recently purchase, and so far it's working fine. As others have said the buttons are kinda mushy but that doesn't really pose a problem, it's really just in preference. All in all it functions as it should. The only con I have is having to update it, there isn't a cord for you to hook it up to a PC. Either supply cord, or make it very clear that you need additional items to allow for that.

Bargain Price Scanner With Solid Features
I have been needing an ODBII scanner for our household cars for quite a while and tried a few with mixed results. The lower priced readers I have tried previously are so meager in their features that they are hard to use or don't provide accurate information. I have also gotten Bluetooth adapters that require an app on the phone and find them overly complex to use while actually working on a vehicle. While we don't have a lot of issues with our vehicles, it can be a real cost saver to be able to read the error code when there is a problem as they often point directly to the solution. The Creator OBDII scanner sounded like a decent option at a reasonable price so gave it a shot and overall have been very pleased. The scanner fits comfortably in my hand. The buttons work well and make navigating the menus much easier than a touch screen would be - especially when working on a vehicle with greasy/dirty hands. Once plugged into the port in your car, usually just below the steering wheel, the scanner turns on and is usable. The manual does a fairly good job of detailing how to use the device which was a nice surprise as many low-cost devices have little to no documentation. The main menu is very easy to navigate with large images for each function and a colored square that moves by pressing the arrow buttons and selected by pressing the OK button. The text in all of the menus is crisp and easy to read. Once in an option though it is very hard to see what menu item is currently highlighted. I used this in a garage so there was minimal sunlight or glare on the display and I genuinely did not know there was a highlight until I looked at the pictures I took for this review and saw the very faint highlighting. Even though I could not see the highlighted item, it was not hard to click down the appropriate number of times and then the OK button to access the menus/functions I needed but it would nice to more easily see the selections.I have used this on a 2010 Dodge truck and a 2014 Ford passenger car with no issues. Both allowed me to review previous codes, test the battery, gathering VIN info, monitor key info while the engine was running and more. All in all, this did exactly what I hoped with regards to gathering info from the vehicle it was connected to.There is also a library of codes on the device itself. While I usually refer to online resources for any codes found, I tested a few codes I had and the info provided was surprisingly solid and helpful. I didn't expect much code detail on a device like this so it was a pleasant surprise to find it providing helpful content directly on the OBDII reader.BIG PLUS - there is actually a website for support and firmware updates of this device. I did not need any assistance so cannot relay how helpful they are, but many inexpensive devices of all types have little to no support presence beyond contacting the seller on Amazon. I find you have to accept that many inexpensive devices are going to have little to no long term support, so it is great to find something that is cost effective and appears to be providing more than the bare minimum.Other than the minor complaint about the menu highlights I have found this to be a very solid OBDII reader. Having a website to download updates and the sizable number of features combined with a very cost effective price make this a device I recommend if you need an OBDII reader.

Easy to understand
I am not very mechanical and just know enough about car mechanics to know when I should take it to a professional. This OBD2 scanner is a cross between an analog and digital age device. I was expecting more of a digital device that would display a GUI than simply numerical data results. In any case, the results are good and simple enough to understand, even for me. I have a 2008 Toyota Prius than occasionally displays a check engine light for reasons unknown to me. I've taken it to the dealer mechanic for my regular maintenance work and they just clear out the error code and say all was okay. More recently I had another check engine light so I hooked up the OBD2 and ran a test. I got a P0016 code, which says it could be an Engine Control Module (ECM) problem. I'll have to play around with it a bit more to really get the feel for it.

Plug it in and it works
I've been wanting of these for a long time. I'm a tinkerer and prefer DIY repairs. I've done my share of paper clips and counting flashes trying to figure out the error code. As a non-professional this is not the kind of tool you need every day but when you need it...you need it. I didn't have an error code or CEL at the time but I did find the live measurements for different items very nice, battery levels, internal engine temps, it makes troubleshooting a lot easier.I've never used an OBD scanner but it was literally as easy as plugging it in and start selecting the various screens. As someone else wrote, it feels kind of cheap because it's very light and all plastic but the screen is easy to read, sharp letters and seems pretty bright. Not a bad buy for the price.

Good Product
I wanted to get this scanner because I like to travel and sometimes upon returning from travelling my car won't start. This will help me with a quick diagnosis. It is fairly easy to use the and the manual is easy to follow. This will work for what I need.

Works great
Hardest thing is figuring out where they this the port on the car. Just plug it in, turn on the ignition, you don't have to start the engine, and read the fault codes. Really easy!
