LOVED THE BEGINNING
I enjoyed how we get a glimpse of our H in the middle of a mission and his side kick "six" = dog.It was sad that what he was great at was taken away by an injury. He loses himself and becomes a hermit and can't even keep his dog because he was still valuable to the team.Fast forward 3 years and members of his team track him down and saved him from himself and offered him a job and another chance to have "six."The h is a strong female and is the perfect fit for the H. I enjoyed how the story unraveled and meeting up with the character's from the previous books. You don't have to read the series to know what is going on. The author does a good job on filling in the holes. I've read many of the series and rated some 2 stars to 5 stars. Sometimes I feel a connection to the main character's as I did in this one, and sometimes not (why lower score). There is very descriptive lovemaking so if this isn't to your liking, you've been warned. Rated heat level 4.5 out of 5.The Lord's name is taken in vain also several times. We have no cheating, a look at what military people face when they are forced to leave their team, no cliffhanger, HEA and romance that builds slowly.I can't improve on the blurb, so not trying, just what you may get out of reading it. It does end at the 90% mark and is a promo for another of her books. (ljb)

Joseph "Kujo" Kuntz, Six and Molly Greenbrier
This the sixth book in the Brotherhood Protectors series. Joseph Kuntz "Kujo" has been discharged from the military after receiving a shrapnel injury on his last mission that left with a limp. Kujo was saved by his K9 partner Six. When some of his former team members come for a surprise visit and tell him Six has been discharged from the military as well and he is not doing well Kujo decides to sign up to foster Six. Kujo has taken a job with Brotherhood Protectors and has moved to the mountains to heal and get some solitude until he is needed for his first mission. Kujo and Six are out for a walk when they encounter Molly Greenbrier in the mountains. Shortly after they go their separate ways an attempt is made on Molly's life and Kujo saves her. Kujo is attracted to the spunk woman but trouble seems to follow Molly and Kujo and six are trying their best to keep her safe. The characters are great. The story is original and there are so many twists and turns to the story if held me captive until the very end. I love this book.

One of my new favorites of this series
Montana Dog Soldier by Elle James is the sixth book in her Brotherhood Protectors series and I have to say one of my new favorites. I loved Joe " Kujo" Kuntz and felt his pain not only with his limp but his feeling of failure when faced with a IED strapped to the hostages. He hides out now in a Colorado wishing for a ability to still be on Delta Team. When the guys from Brotherhood show up with a plea for Kujo's former partner, Six, now injured and needs his partner to adopt him. Will he also accept Hank's offer to work with The Brotherhood and include Six as a partner?FBI agent Molly Greenbrier received a tip of a possible ISIS training camp in Eagle Rock, MT she desperately wants to be a field agent and to find the cell would pave the way towards her goal. But after her drone is shot down and she's attacked while fleeing. She never expects to have Six find her as well as Kujo, help her heal and keep her safe. But it will take all of the Brotherhood men, Kujo, Molly and of course Six to find the cell and stop their upcoming attack.

Six Knows Best
Really Enjoyed this story! Molly, Kujo and Six kept you glued to the story. Kujo had to deal with so much when his last mission changed his life forever, then a visit from two of his brother's in arms takes him on a path to save Six and possibly give him some type of future. An encounter with a fiery red head becomes a pain in his backside.Molly has her first field assignment, but she is not to engage. Up in the mountains she comes upon a German shepherd and then his owner appears and he is very rude. No sweat off her back, but later he would come to her rescue and more danger is to come.A very intense plot and very good.

Montana Dog Soldier (Brotherhood Protectors Series bk 6) by Elle James
Every novel in this series is like a recipe - its success is down to good ingredients - in equal measure for the main, with a pinch of this and a pinch of that. Well, this novel has the perfect blend. Thoroughly enjoyed Montana Dog - loved the action. Had to get to grips with the realisation of horror injustices, PTSD, what these men did and had to overcome, fighting for their country. Then for all of that to be swept up with the realisation that love from buddies, hot caresses from a feisty woman will help life move forwards and upwards.A brilliant read. Well worth the time and trouble if you like a bit of brawn and military muscle.

Loved reading this story in the series
I enjoyed reading this book from the author and the storyline. I liked how the storryline started from Kujo's emergence to civilian life after being injured in Afghanistan and joining the brotherhood of protectors. He reconnect s with Six his former dog partner and they then meet Molly an FBiI agent on a field trip where things heat up in more ways than one.

I really enjoyed Montana Dog Soldier, it was a good paced story with commanding characters which were able to drag me away from the real word.I will definitely be looking into the rest of this series.
