LSE LightingCompatible UV Bulb for Air Scrubber Plus

It’s a UVC light. Tested the UVC output, was as advertised. Replaced my burner out lamp in the HVAC system, just had to remove the old burned out light from the custom made holder designed by a particular brand name company. The replacement UVC light from the company was close to $300, an utterly disgusting rip off! I’ve started to look at replacement parts, and “proprietary” designs for all of the things I purchase. If a company uses “proprietary” designs in their wear and tear parts which require periodical replacement, avoid them like a plague that they are, as it’s a certainty their business model is to fleece their customers. So, check your UVC bulb length, type of connection, and purchase a regular UVC bulb replacement! It works!

My Air Scrubber was almost two years old and I wanted to replace the ultraviolet bulb myself to save a lot of money. I purchased two of the bulbs so I'd have a spare. They were well packed in bubble wrap and hard cardboard tubes and inner cardboard boxes. The only tool I needed was a flathead screwdriver.I pulled out the power plug on the Air Scrubber. There were four screws to loosen with the screwdriver, and then I finished that by hand loosening them and pulled the unit out carefully. Only four screws need to be removed! It may stick a little when you are pulling the unit out of the ductwork (the friction of metal on metal). I wore gloves to remove the old tube (I've read you should not touch the glass portion of a germicidal UV bulb with bare hands). Pulling the old tube out, it stuck a bit and needed some coaxing, and I put in the new one with no problem There was a rubber O ring packed in which I decided to use on the bottom of the tube above the four prongs. The entire unit slid back in easily, same with the screws, the power cable was plugged in, and the blue light came showing all was well. I spent 20 minutes on this and a tube costs $25.I've seen quotes for several hundred dollars for doing this - not sure why it should cost that much when it's quite easy.

Dont know yet how it works. In fact it will be hard to tell but it fit the air scrubber unit easily and turned on, so... Good enough. Looks exactly like the old part. Just had to disassemble the old Holder. No problem though. 5 min work. Great price as the wholebinit cost 4 or 5 hundred and the one with holder cost 150.00. Good value.

This part was dimensionally exactly the same as OEM and fit easily into place. It's been on for about a month and doing great.

This tube was used to replace a UV light in an "AirScubber" fixture on my furnace to purify air. It was a perfect replacement.

I like the ease of replacing the uv bulb, so far its staying on, hopefully it will lasts a year or more.
