5 star product for swimmers. Many issues at first but they have all worked out in the end and I am satisfied for now
I am an avid swimmer and was looking for a way to change things up. I waited for these headphones to drop down to $55 like they had by Christmas and immediately purchased them. I received them a few days later and was very impressed with the presentation. I quickly put on the waterproof tips and made sure they fit correctly. Now here is where my concern comes up.I was finally able to get them to show up on my laptop (turn on before you put in the cradle then plug it in to laptop and then press that little button only once) and to my surprise there were already FIVE songs downloaded on the device. They were Clocks, Daylight, Green eyes, In My Place, and Warning Sign. I took a screenshot and messaged the seller and they told me that they do testing on each pair of headphones and they must've forgotten to delete the songs. Frankly, I'm not so sure I believe the company. It makes me wonder if somebody bought these headphones, put on music, and then returned them. Then the company just repackaged them and sent it out to me. what concerns me is that I haven't seen any other comments or reviews with this strange occurrence and I wonder if I'm being lied to.As far as the actual product though, it really does deserve 5 stars. I'll probably never use the Bluetooth so can't speak for that, but they worked exceptionally in the water (I deleted the strange songs and put on my own). The sound was certainly loud enough and not much water got into my ears. What pleased me is that the headphones remained in place during all my strokes whether freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and most importantly; butterlfy. And this was a full workout of 2,500 yards.I would love to hear from the company or someone else who has had this issue and I would be happy to update my review to the full give stars which this product otherwise deserves.EDIT #1: The company contacted me and said they would send me a replacement so I will update this review when I receive it. They said that since it's shipped and sold by Amazon, Amazon may have just repackaged somebody's return (which possibly confirms my suspicion).EDIT #2: I have dropped my review score lower to one star because my pair of headphones has now completely stopped functioning. I can no longer play from the SD card and my computer can no longer recognize the device. This is extremely annoying since I cannot listen to music at all during my swim until I get the new pair. Again I will update this review when I receive the replacement and it functions perfectly.EDIT #3: I received the new pair the company sent me and so far they work perfectly. Unlike with the first pair, these ones properly connected to my laptop immediately with no issues at all. Thankfully, there was no preloaded music. So it seems that my suspicions were confirmed and I did initially receive a used and faulty product. I have therefore updated the review to reflect the 5 stars this product deserve for swimmers and I will update this review in the event that I have any further issues.Feel free to comment with any questions and I will happily respond. As of now my viewpoint is if you are a swimmer do not hesitate in buying these headphones. You will not be dissapointed.UPDATE 3/11/2018: The headphones have been working great! I should note that after I had a one hour swim I forgot to charge them overnight and the next day when I went for a swim they died after 15 minutes. So the battery is pretty bad at least playing from the SD card. But I didn't expect them to have the best battery life and they do charge very fast.IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL FREQUENT SWIMMERS!!! I swim every day and when I tried to plug in the headhones after 2 weeks and my computer refused to recognize them. I figured out the issue was that chlorine had caked up and dried on the gold connector spots. As soon as I rinsed and wiped it off they worked great again. Just plug them in and hit the button and you're in. Always rinse off the charging connectors with freshwater after a swim!UPDATE April 17 2018: These headphones have continued to work amazingly! I should note that my second pair died for no apparent reason so I contacted the company and they sent a replacement right away. The replacement has been working perfectly so far and I know that even if they stop working the company will stand by their product and replace it. People are always asking me how I can wear these headphones in the pool and always surprised when I tell them how they work, where they can be bought, and how much (how little) they cost. Btw I wear goggles simultaneously with these headphones and it's never been a problem. A+++ product.

A great solution for swimming. Snug fit. Decent sound quality. Clean functional solution. Excellent support.
The media could not be loaded. Workes well. See full video review attached.Pro's:Stays snug even when swimming. Be sure to attach the small elastic strap in the back.Comes with ample earpieces to get a good snug fit (key for water use).Built in MP3 player with 8gb drive is a great alternative in the pool since Bluetooth will not go through water.Alpatronix support is very good. They walked me through a few problems i had and got me up and running.Con's:In the end, I took off 1 star because the MP3 player (which is your main way of using it you are going to use the headset while swimming) is not very thoughtfully designed.Doesn't support playlists in MP3 player mode so you are limited to either (all songs in alphabetic order or all songs shuffled)Documentation is sparse and confusing. Some button presses must be long when others must be short. It doesn't explain which are which and they matter.Sound quality could be better (it's decent. it's just not high end but again, remember the price).User tips:If hooking up to a PC or Mac, you do a quick press and release of the oblong multifunction button. Then it registers as a USB drive and shows up on your device. I was "long pressing" and it didn't work. Don't make the same mistake. If you store music on itunes, you will likley need to convert songs to MP3 format to play on the device. Just google this to find out to do so.

Great Waterproof Headphones!
We needed a pair of waterproof headphones that could be used easily for swimming laps. We tried the waterproof iPod Shuffle route, but it all had to be managed through iTunes, which was not always very easy. We came across the Alpatronix HX250’s and decided to give them a try. Overall, they are great earphones. The sound is very clear and not at all distorted or metallic. They are rated IPX7 on the waterproof scale, which means that they can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. They come with both wet and dry ear buds in an array of sizes that should allow these to fit everyone. My wife often has difficulties with finding the right bud size to stay in her ear, but not with these. They have 8 GB of internal memory for you to store your favorite music or podcasts directly on them, perfect for listening whenever you can’t hook up to a Bluetooth device. The memory works just like a USB thumb drive, so all you have to do is connect them to your computer via the included USB adapter and then drag and drop your desired mp3 files into the drives window. They also have a built in mic that allows you to use with your phone hands free. There were a few hiccups that we ran into while setting up and using these headphones. First, the buttons are not exactly intuitive and you have to consult the manual at first and for the first while until you learn how many seconds you have to hold down which button for the desired action. Second, there were some issues with uploading music to the headphones. It could be related to the computers that we were using, but one didn’t recognize them as a drive and the other said that it needed to fix something about the drive, and after doing that, then we were able to download. We also found that you could only download one file at a time to the headphones, but that could also be computer related. The pros definitely outweigh the few cons that we ran across and they could be issues that are not the fault of the headphones. To sum it up, we are very happy with our purchase of these headphones and look forward to being entertained in the future as we swim laps.
