Q: Is this an authentic Herman Miller chair with serial number and 12 year warranty or a knock off?

Authentic. This is one of my best purchases. I also swapped out the wheels to the rollerblade type as I have hardwood floors and it moves very easily.

Q: what is the lowest hight of seat?

I have not measured but it adjust to where I can’t get that low. Great chair, really am happy with it.
