same type we wore in the US Navy and NYPD UNIFORM EQUIPMENT NYPD 1 PP PLAZA NYC. THIS OXFORD LASTS WELL I HAVE A PAIR T THAT IS OVER 4 YEARS OLD AND STILL HAS GREAT SHINE HIGH-QUALITY LEATHER UPPERS AND GOOD-WEARING SOLES. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GREAT SHOE

I didn't expect this.
Had to have black work shoes in a hurry for a new job and my go-to brand of Docker's Shelter were out of stock in my size, so I ordered the Rothcos reluctantly.I've had a couple experience with other Rothco gear items over the years, and always found them shoddy. These shoes were a pleasant surprise.The look great (better than the photo on the listing) and they were comfortable from the minute I put them on.I did pull the padded insole out and replaced it with GI ventilated insoles because I prefer them. I've worn them for a full week and have put at least 15 miles on them. The job requires lots of walking on concrete. They have excellent foot support and the soles show only the slightest wear. They have developed a slight crease on top that looks right. The toe still has a good shape. They are a matte black in appearance, but the leather looks like it could take a shine if you wanted.Super value for the price. If I only get 6 months out of them, I'll be completely satisfied.

So far very satisfied with these shoes.
Kind of hard to write a product review for shoes after only a couple months of use,they are comfortable and fit as expected.I worked in my garden and wore them everyday for work since they arrived. They seem to be scuff resistant and after being coated with wet soil many times they still look great after I clean them.I believe they will satisfy my needs for a good while yet.If you need shoes for work or pleasure I would recommend them.
