fx-260 Solar II Scientific Calculator, 10-Digit Display

Exclusively solar powered so probably my ideal apocalypse calculator. I kinda wish it would default to radians instead of degrees, and I’d happily pay more for a calculator this size with an equation-based OS, but this is really good especially for the price.

I designed steel for almost 40 years and used an earlier version of this same calculator until I lost it so I bought this one to replace it. It is a great calculator that has some great functions. I like the functions to determine right triangle leg lengths or angles. You also are able to enter fractions and can convert them to decimal if needed. A very competent calculator at a low price.

I love this little handy calculator. It is solar so it is always ready to go. The buttons work well and I like the appearance of the design used on this calculator. It is just something different. The color is nice and it is so easy to use.

I currently have two of these in my home, and soon it will be three since this is an approved calculator for my kids’ school. That being said, it’s a calculator, and it does what it’s supposed to do. My main issue is with the solar power. My oldest daughter usually does her schoolwork at night, and after working for a while, the display starts to fade, making it difficult for her to see the numbers. She then has to put the calculator outside in the morning so it can get some light before school. Of course, she sometimes forgets it outside, which is honestly more frustrating for me than it is for her! My middle daughter does most of her work during the day and has no issues with it. Overall, it works well for basic schoolwork, but I don't think the solar power holds up well when the calculator is used frequently at night. For that reason, I’m giving it 3/5 stars.

Good material, practical to take anywhere, and very pretty—exactly what I was looking for. I recommend it.

purchased the Casio scientific calculator for my son, and it has been an excellent tool for his schoolwork! The calculator is incredibly user-friendly, with clear, well-labeled buttons and an intuitive layout that makes it easy to use for both basic and more advanced math problems. The display is large and easy to read, which helps reduce errors when solving equations. It has all the essential functions needed for algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and other subjects, and it handles complex calculations effortlessly. One of the things I really appreciate is its durability. It’s sturdy, compact, and fits comfortably in a backpack or desk drawer. The battery life is impressive, and we’ve had no issues with performance, even after months of heavy use. Overall, this Casio scientific calculator is reliable, affordable, and perfect for students and anyone needing a dependable calculator for everyday math. Highly recommend it for both school and personal use!
