Great product the seed took fast!!!

It was a slow start due to excessive rain in our northern area, but things settled down and this seed has taken root and is growing. Our yard was bare due to large dogs playing and chasing each other and ripping up turf with their nails, so it is difficult to grow anything. We fenced the area we want to start with, cleaned up the debris, mixed up compost, manure, and dirt and put down about 2 inches on top of the broken, sandy ground. We then over-seeded the area and set up some soaker hoses. When the rains started the hoses were turned off as it was a torrential rain. Things dried out a bit and the hoses are back on and it is looking good. It is too soon to say how this grass will work out with our two rambunctious pups, but I will update. Seed was a bit expensive, but if it works out it is well worth it! This brand was recommended to me by another dog owner, and they have been very happy with it, and I did research grass varieties, sustainability, and the correct grasses for my zone before ordering. So far, so good. I would definitely order this again.

I purchased this to oversee the front lawn in the fall, while a little slow to germinate it came up. in the spring the yard looked fantastic , it was worth all the effort.. will be doing the back yard in the fall. recently used the seed at an income property with a large dirt area from some construction, wasn't really expecting anything as it's late in spring season , also didn't get much rain or water and surprisingly it germinated. this brand is much better then other seed I have used. Actually I have been please with all Jonathan Green products.

I never have good luck with growing anything in my yard, so I wasn’t sure how this would turn out. Things that I plant usually don't grow well, if at all. But this product was a home run. It makes me look like a lawncare professional. I started by using a scarifier to remove all the weeds and moss from my neglected lawn, then applied a 3-inch layer of topsoil before planting Jonathan Green Black Beauty Ultra Grass Seed. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the results! Disclaimer: the right prep work + frequent watering is essential to bring out the best this grass seed can offer. If you don't plan to invest the time to do those things, don't bother buying this high quality, expensive grass seed (or any grass seed at all for that matter). I haven't seen any signs of common lawn diseases either, which is a huge plus. Easy Maintenance: Maintaining my new lawn is a breeze. The downside: Now I have to mow my lawn more often, because the deep roots that these grass seeds have grown have caused the grass to grow faster than substandard grass seed might grow. Value for Money: Sure, it’s a bit pricier than some other brands, but it’s worth every penny. The transformation in my lawn’s appearance and health is amazing, and it’s super low-maintenance. It’s easy to maintain and tough against drought and disease. Adding a layer of peat moss to retain moisture really helped it grow fast.
