These are my favorite daily notebooks by far. I love basically everything about them - they have a vintage yet minimal design, hard cover, smaller grid which works well with small handwriting and fine point pens that I prefer, smooth paper, slightly larger size than a typical pocket notebook, ability to fold back completely without falling apart (thanks to a sewn binding). I could go on.Right now I use it as a pared down bullet journal which I carry along with a B6 sketchbook together inside one notebook cover, or on its own when I'm traveling light. It's just perfectly slim and delicate, yet the cover is rugged enough to carry everywhere without bending or staining. And a pretty good deal too! I have stocked up on these in case of apocalypse and/or discontinuation, they're just great.

Love these little field notebooks. So easy to carry in even the smallest bag. The hardcover makes it easy to write a quick note on the go. Paper is awesome. Price and quality are on point!

I first purchased these in Japan over 30 years ago, and fell in love with them. I yearned for more.I love the size, the hard cover, the durable stitching even when bend open and back hundreds of times. The paper is smooth and thick enough that ink does not seep through. I love the tiny size of the graph paper.They have not been changed since I first bought them, they are still a completely perfect notebook for my needs.

These notebooks are great. When I opened the package I couldn't wait to use them. The notebook and paper are surprisingly sturdy and the size is great for quick reference notes. e.g. I am using one of them to keep track of recipes I create/make since it is sturdy and since it is small grid it guides you to get more onto a page than you normally would. It's a rare combination of delicate and robust. (There's also no off gassing or excess packaging.)

They are definitely smaller than a traveler's notebook. Its size is slightly wider than a Field Notes and about an inch taller. The paper is thin. My gel pen can bleed through a little bit if I let the pen "rest" in a spot. But, it's not too bad. Surprisingly, my fountain pen actually seemed to work pretty well. Maybe better than the gel pen. So, take that for what it's worth.

This is my third purchase of these notebooks and I really like them. The grid is helpful and the size is perfect for me to write one line then skip the next to have a neater set of notes.
