I try to use my bike for grocery commutes and this little basket in addition to a backpack gets the job done. I normally keep my U-lock in the basket and there's still room for more items. I ended up modifying the bracket that is held against the head tube with a supplied Velcro strap and instead used zip ties which means I have to cut the zip ties to remove the basket but the Velcro strap wasn't doing the job for me plus other than some bike maintenance I don't remove the basket.

The basket itself is of good quality. It holds my 10lbs, 2.5 year old dog safe and secure.The issue that I encountered is that the velcro strap that holds the basket in place is somewhat cheap. It tore after several uses and made the basket rub against the front tire, which made it impractical to keep the dog in it because I didn’t want the tire to damage.I ended up sewing the strap by hand and it turned out pretty sturdy. I went on a bike ride today and the strap and basket stayed in place even with the added weight of my dog.I’m just wondering how long it will take before it gives again.Overall, it is a good basket for the price. I wish the velcro strap was sturdier, though.If you’re only planning on using the basket for random items such as your phone, keys, snacks, and beverage then the strap should be ok and not tear.

This basket is great when I first received it. However, it is not durable. I do a 4-mile commute every weekday. I put my backpack and the U-lock in the basket. I have my laptop and my lunchbox in the backpack. I only ride on paved road. But there could be occasionally potholes and unevenness due to reparation. This should be quite typical for commuting in the US. As you can see in the photo, the basket is torn near the hanger and the bottom after about 1 year of regular commuting. Now it's very shaky and needs to be replaced. Please account for the lifespan of the product when doing the purchase.

I got this to put on my commute-to-work cruiser bike so I can put my backpack or whatever in it on the way to/from work. It's a perfectly sized basket for what I need. It's fairly deep, and not too wide, and perfectly fits my small backpack. It seems pretty sturdy. I've left it with the bike chained up outside for hours between July and now (mid October) in all sorts of weather, and it has not rusted yet or anything like that. It's pretty easy to attach to the bike, or at least I think it is, my husband did it haha... and it seems attached pretty well for the most part, though it does move around a tiny bit, but I think my husband can tighten it if he feels so inclined. It's not a huge basket if you're looking for something big, but it works great for me. I've actually managed to bring a cake to work in it, by putting the large cake holder in kind of at an angle. It did not fall out!Also I think it looks adorable, and you can take that ugly handle thing off easily.

I'm an older lady that likes to ride my bike a lot, but casually. I like to ride places if I can, rather than drive. This holds lots of stuff and even a small bag of groceries. Nothing falls through (cell phone!). It went on pretty easy once I realized I had to position it under all the wires in front. The wires just rest on it and no problem taking things in or out. If you're a serious biker going on long rides come hell, high winds or rain, then obviously this isn't for you. But if you're a grandma riding around the summer campground with your grandson or taking a nice relaxing ride with your sister to the beach, this will do the trick! Fits my towel, Kindle, water bottle, etc. Glad I purchased.
