The second I unpacked this from the amazon packaging I knew I was in for a treat. The box this tablet comes in is BULLETPROOF. The tables itself is probably shy of half an inch thick, but it doesn't flex like similar thickness notebook bezels are known to do. This absolutely screamed build quality. The case back feel like it's made with a magnesium alloy. Turning it on for the first time I was met with a MacOS-esque greeting and setup routine, which took all but a couple of minutes. Once through that, on to the Android 11 interface.It's bloody beautiful.But you're going to hear that a LOT from the fanboy sites, so I won't bore you with the brochure. This is my honest review, and my honest opinion is this is, so far, worth every bit of the £90 I just spent on what I originally intended to be a digital photo frame just with a better screen and expandable memory (it handles SDXC just fine by the way, I have a Kodak Class 10 UHS-1 U3 V30 A1 64GB installed (you do need a tray key like you get with iPhones to access the MicroSD slot, it's the same mechanism)). Frankly, this is officially the replacement for my Fire HD 8 (sorry, Amazon).[EDIT: 12 May 2022]On to the other stuff:CAMERA: front and rear cameras are absolutely DIRE. Honestly, the image quality from my 2003 flip phone blows them out of the water.VIDEO: HD playback from stream or downloaded content is great (tested with Amazon Prime Video). No tearing, buffering or stuttering. Contrast is good, although you can see the edge flares from the backlight in dark scenes.AUDIO: speakers are OK (tested with VLC). The folio case does interfere with thicker-barrelled headphone jacks. Bluetooth connectivity is stable and rapid (Vido bluetooth headset). Microphone is echoing and useless for apps like Messenger. No option found to cancel echo.NFC: Near Field Connectivity is fantastic, low latency and very high bandwidth (Canon Camera Connect app). Was able to use the tablet as a full-on non-tethered intervalometer for an entire night's shooting with my EOS 2000D to the point where it was able to display each capture as it was taken. It will quite happily download a selection of images directly from your camera without the need to tether.APPS: Full access to the Play Store, which is well handy.BROWSER: comes with Chrome. Use your favourite browser, you can even get Edge on here. Chrome works just fine for me.TASK CONTROL: Still figuring out how to kill a task without having to kill all running tasks. That said, I haven't had to kill a task because of low memory. Yet.PORTABILITY: this thing is NOT going to fit in a pocket. It's six inches wide. That being said, if you have a pouch with a shoulder strap you can carry it under your coat/shirt/whatever and it'll be fine.Short version: if you're watching video with headphones, this is fine. If you want something to facetime someone with, use your smartphone (though it might be OK if you're doing voice calls with a Bluetooth headset. I haven't tested this yet). If you're using this to remote control a camera, this is beyond adequate.

For the price this a a very good little tablet; photo quality not fantastic but it does everything you would expect ; good for younger users; I just wanted something other than my phone & it's fine. Happy with the tablet for the price paid. decent weight and it came with a cover so that saved me some money.

Got this fro my three year old son last minute as he broke is Samsung one and we needed it to preoccupie him on the airoplane. Quailty is decent for the price he only watches YouTube and plays games however sometimes the games crash which can be annoying even though he dosnt have many apps downloaded given he’s three years old. Other than this works perfectly. Disappointed as find it almost impossible to find a tablet case that’s a kids one to protect it to Prevent him breaking this one the one given with the tablet while it’s nice and not bulky just is not suitable for a young child

Tablet all good for 4 months, yesterday took 4 hours to charge 38% and even when turned off loses charge, turned off with 10% turned on first thing this morning and completely empty again, i can't afford to charge this for 12 hours a day which i assume is what it will require . Tablet ok but useless battery , maybe i got unlucky but avoid

Set it up using my google account. Took a few goes connecting to the wifi. Note, don't bother buying the bundle, as it comes with a cover anyway. And the extra cover, hides the camera, so you can't use it. The tempered glass screen covers were both cracked and useless. Cool tablet for the money

I bought two of these in December for my children aged 8 and 9 years oldwithin 3 months the charging point broke on the first tablet. I put this down to children being to heavy handed.Now after using the tablet for only 6 months the charging point on the 2nd tablet has now broken. This child is much more careful so feel feel there is a weakness in the design of the charging point.Disappointed as the tablet is a good size for children and the cover was a good fit. Clear display and ease of use.Maybe ok for adult only use.

Bought this for my tweenager.It came with a case and charger and all packaged very well.The quality is really really good especially for the price and had no problems at all even it being used by a young kid.

I have had several tablets, a expensive Samsung for work, this was soley for personal video streaming but its performance is so good it is now my main laptop. Very easy to setup, software updated just before purchase, fully charged, great protective cover. Fast, high quality video, good sound, lot of space, pre-loaded apps thankfully very few, just the essentials I.e. Google play, email etc. Battery lasts a very long time. I'm impressed.
