Great knife, great price.
So I own knives that are 10 times the price of this one. I also own a benchmade 940 in CF, the knife that this ganzo was “inspired” by. So I had low expectations. I was completely wrong. First off the steel is 44c a budget steel but in my opinion better than 8cr13mov or aus8. I would compare it to vg10. It sharpens easily and takes a mean edge and holds it well. After a brief break in period the axis lock got really smooth and is comparable to a benchmade axis lock. And the carbon fiber on top of g-10 looks very good in person. The hardware is not painted but instead heat anodized (a very nice touch. And in person the knife is absolutely stunning, perfect blade centering and a little bigger than the 940 (fine by me it fits my hands better) the only con is that it’s heavy. Ganzo did do some interior milling on the steel liners (again a nice touch they didn’t need to do) but some people might not like the weight. In conclusion but this thing! It’s 25 dollars for a knife I would be happy to pay 75$ for. And if you are worrying that it will look like a fake 940 or a counterfeit it really doesn’t, the blade shape is similar but the proportions of the knife are different enough that I don’t think they look the same at all. Will be buying more of these Ganzo knives.

Decent knockoff of an iconic knife
So, I got this as a curiosity. I've had a Benchmade 940 for 15-18 years. While it's fallen out of my usual EDC rotation, it's still a great knife.I included a few pictures of them side-by-side. It's slightly larger in most dimensions. The blade itself is a lot taller than the 940. The blade stock is about the same thickness at the pivot, but it doesn't flare out quite as much as the 940 at the reverse tanto tip.The similarities to Benchmade don't stop though, as they also include a knife bag in the box like Benchmade knives do, however it was separate, as the knife itself was in bubble wrap in the box.I was a little worried when I pulled it out of the box and tried to open it. It felt like it was riding on thick nylon washers, or maybe even some other plastic. This turned out to be mostly because the blade pivot was tightened to the max though. Loosening that up a tiny bit and lubing up all the moving parts (I used KPL) helped tremendously, although introduced a tiny bit of horizontal blade play... about the same as my 940 has now.Despite this thing having carbon fiber handle scales (I kind of believe it as there were some errant strands sticking out that I initially thought were human hair, and it catches the light like CF), the liners and back spacers are stainless steel. This makes it considerably heavier than the 940's aluminum construction. With it having handle scales, it's thicker and isn't contoured. It's a much less expensive knife, so it's not really fair to compare fit and finish, but I'll at least mention it. The Axis lock's springs are a much higher tension. It doesn't make it difficult to pull back, but does make it a bit more difficult to open in unorthodox ways (like pulling the lock back with your index finger to deploy or close). Also, the tolerances aren't the best, so the blade feels a bit grindy as it rides on the lock bar, but you don't feel that if you keep the bar pulled back. This will hopefully get better over time though. One other thing I noticed was jimping. It has some aggressive jimping at the top of the handle which is pretty comfortable, but it lacks any jimping at the bottom (where your index finger rests). It's a little too slippery for my liking there, but not a big deal.Overall, I'm quite impressed with how much better $20 knives are these days than when I sold knives at retail 15 or so years ago. For this being literally a 10th the price of the Benchmade 940, I'd say it's about 75% there. Feels sturdy, blade locks up nice and tight, it looks nice and came decently sharp out of the box.The blade steel is reportedly 440C. This seemingly fell out of popularity a long time ago with chinese makers, where most of them use 8Cr13MoV these days. 440C though is a pretty good steel and a ton of US makers used it heavily not too long ago. Hell, Benchmade used it for a very long time on their Griptillians. I can't quite speak to the heat treat on this blade yet as I just got it, but it should be very serviceable.I look forward to using this as a beater knife due to the low investment price.

Excellent value and great quality!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: This really is a great knife. It needs to be broken in quite a bit before I would make this statement though. My favorite knife ever is the BM grip 556-1 and I carry it everyday, however I still throw this guy in once in a while and I’m never disappointed. The only cons I’ve noticed are that hardware is very cheap on this knife. Most small screws will strip if you’re not careful but these things are made to strip! The last thing I would complain about is over time no matter how tight the pivot is, there is always significant blade play. It’s tolerable in such a cheap knife but irritating when using it for hard tasks. I am very surprised by this knife. I would swear it was a much more expensive knife if not properly informed. The only issues mine came with would be a very stiff omega spring set and slight blade play. I’ve adjusted the pivot many times and I can’t seem to get it smooth without any blade play but it’s not detrimental. I had to open the knife up to lower the tention of the omega springs which wasn’t hard and it made a huge difference. I can now swing this knife open and closed without any trouble. It came extremely dull but the grind was even and I was able to put a hair popping edge on it with relative ease. The carbon fiber handles feel amazingly nice. Some people may dislike the lack of grip but I personally like the texture. Coming in at about 5 ounces it’s not a light knife but it’s by no means heavy. It feels almost exactly like and Ontario rat 1 in weight. The blade is slightly stone washed and looks very nice. The knife also has excellent blade geometry (expected when it’s copied off of a 200 dollar knife). The clip has a somewhat cheap polished look to it but it works nicely and it could definitely be worse. I honestly believe this knife is a better value than most 50-60 dollar knives and I would choose this over many other more expensive knives I own.

Great Knife for the Money!
I have a few Benchmades and love them. However I’ve lost a few of them either walking through the woods and climbing trees or outside working. With those knives being very expensive it gets old after awhile at $200+ a pop. I was looking for a cheaper alternative that would still get the job done and not make me cringe if it gets lost. This knife was exactly what I was looking for! Understand that it’s no Benchmade but after a good sharpening is a very good alternative. The blade material isn’t the same quality but it holds a nice edge. The mechanics, weight and feel in the hand is very close to the real deal. As long as you realize this before purchasing you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you buy one. I’ll be buying a few more backups I’m that satisfied. It’s an outstanding knife when compared to others at the same price point, you can’t go wrong!!

Buena compra
Me gustaría que le dure más el filo, pero es lo que esperaba por el precio
