Excellent durability
This thing feels like itโs gonna last for a long time. Itโs pretty well built. I thought the welding on. It was decent and was worried about that point of failure where the Caribbean attaches to, but Iโve loaded that thing and itโs been holding pretty well.

One of my favorite pieces of gym equipment
Couldn't say enough about this Oly loading pin. I bought it from Amazon vs. the IronMind site b/c of the free shipping. Because of a disc issue I no longer do barbell back squats and instead do belt squats. The only problem is that looping a chain through several plates is a major hassle. With the loading pin this all goes away. I can quickly add/remove plates, attach my squat belt to the caribiner and crank out squats until I'm begging for death. This Oly loading pin is easily one of my favorite pieces of equipment. Even though I lift at home it's easily portable enough to take with you to a commercial gym. And of course this is great for dips as well.

Typical ironmind quality.
Expensive for a loading pin, but will last a lifetime (I have another Iโve had for 20 years).

Worth it.
Perfect addition to your training. Any plate with a 2โ hole fits snugly so there is no jiggle. So far I have loaded one to 270lb and no problems.

Solid Loading Pin
I bought this to make my own Lat/Tricep Pulley machine to attach to my squat rack. It is an extremely solid and well made loading pin that comes with an American made Omega Pacific Carabiner that attaches to the top eye hook. If you know anything about Carabiners, Omega Pacific is the best in the business. People trust their lives with these carabiners while mountain climbing. The fact that this company includes an Omega Pacific Carabiner with their product as opposed to some cheaply made Chinese Carabiner speaks for itself. There have been some people who have reviewed this product and stated that it works with both Standard & Olympic sized plates. This is wrong! I have both types of weights at the house and this particular loading pin only fits Olympic sized plates.

Holds weights
This thing is amazing. Holds standard plate sized weights and feels solid. We use it on our pulley system for lat pulldowns. We used to wrap a chain through the weights, but they don't set down evenly and created a tugging as the weight was being lifted. This thing was perfect, no swinging, nice and controlled for a good workout. Loading or reducing weight is a breeze, which is the entire point of a loading pin. Recommend this to anyone with a home gym who is currently using chains to hold weights.

Works fine with the rolling thunder handle...
No issues using it with the rolling thunder handle. Given how much of a pansy the rolling thunder handle turns you into I don't think most people need to be concerned with maxing the weight out on this. My only complaint is that it is a bit expensive for what it is.

Overpriced, no good for hip belt squats
For a product as simple as this one, it's hard to understand how they got it so wrong. The problem is that the ring on top is just too small - small enough that hooking the provided carabiner through it is not easy and takes careful alignment. So when you're done with your hip-belt squats, it's really, really difficult to unhook the carabiner and you're left in a crouching position, breathing hard, sweat in your eyes, desperately trying to get the carabiner in the right position to detach it from the loop. To fix the problem, I had to use another carabiner that I attach to the ring, then hook the first carabiner into. But this adds a good two inches to the total height, which limits the range of motion that can be achieved. They had two inches of diameter to play with, and they just stuck a tiny ring on there. Meanwhile you can find better-designed loading pins for a third of the price. There's no excuse.
