SKB1SKB-R106 10 x 6 Compact Rig (1SKBR106)

Purchased this as a gift. My son loves it. Works perfect for his presonus 1602 board. It is a little bulky but the large handles lets you quickly adjust your hands to get an optimum balance. SKB did a good job on this design.

i feel safe putting my expensive synthesizers in this thing. confident it would survive a trip to a friends house or something like that, but no experience touring. it's a pretty nice little setup for a home studio in my opinion. some nice spots for cables to sneak through etc. my only real complaint is that the lid is a bit of a pain to put on. it doesn't just fall into a very flush position easily. not a deal breaker but -1 star for sure. it's also kind of expensive for what the material costs probably are. the warranty is nice though. very nice case overall, skb is solid.

I got this to put all the rack stuff and my board in one case. Works yes- one drawback. It's HEAVY when everything is in it, and lopsided. My case- a 2u power amp a 2u processor a wireless mic receiver and in ear transmitter (1/2 space each), as well as a power conditioner. And I'm a bit concerned about the hard plastic- sometimes I'll admittedly drag it a few feet. Wondering about how many times until it wears a hole. Considering installing wheels but haven't checked to see if it can be done on this rack. Not really the cases fault its heavy it just is. And if I knew this I'd have got a wheeled one.

This thing is really tough and well made. I have used it for about a year now with great results. It even took a header off my cart about three weeks ago with nary a scratch to either the case or the equipment inside.However, this thing is BIG. It is much bigger than I assumed that it would be. It will not fit in the bed of a truck with a tonneau cover. No fault of SKB, just be aware :-)!

to big for this old man to carry

The case over all looks nice and boult pretty good. Only problem is the racks on it are wrong. One is mounted at the top with a small space on the bottom and the other side is mounted at the bottom with a space at the top. This makes my stuff mount crooked.

This thing is gorgeous. A little bigger than I expected but it does fit in my Prius with room to spare.

Lightest case of its kind. Rather difficult to get through narrow stairwells and doorways when hands are on the outside of extended handles. The 2 and 4 unit versions have lower profile handles. The laptop tray made for this is rediculosly heavy, a plastic or aluminum one could take 5 pounds off my rig.
