Droll Yankees SAM Single Arm Mount and Hanger

Really love this sturdy Droll Yankees single arm mount and hanger. It's worth its price if you look for something you don't want to replace next year but rather use for years to come.I bought it together with the their double arm mount and hanger and their three pole system. In the past I used regular flower basket poles with brakets on the bottom to stake in the earth for my bird feeders, but they simply can't take the weight of the feeders and come loose in the ground. No problem here. The entire system is made to last and is sturdy and durable - don't expect thin and dainty - it's meant to hold some weight and last a long time.You'll need to know that you may run into problems if your bird feeder (for example) uses a very thick rope as the space you hook it into at the end of the arm is somewhat limited - the hook rotates to close securely around a wire or rope - but I use a variety of feeders and haven't had a problem with any of the hanging wires or rope yet. Obviously can be used for hanging flower baskets and alike as well.

I give it a 5 stars for good quality and the stylish appeal. I give it a 3 starts because it's expensive; and it only works with Droll Yankees' poles. I used to use a nice planter rack (4 arms for hanging plants) bought at home and garden chain store. It was a multi-purpose hanger - I used it to hang a hummingbird feeder as well as 3 hanging plants at the same time. I often moved the hanger to different locations, and the setup attracted birds' attention very effectively.

I ordered this to go on top of the deck post that I already had. Works great and I certainly would recommend it.

Perfect fitting for the garden pole. Use it for a bird feeder.
