I slipped and fell on some ice today and used my phone in my hand to catch my fall. The only thing that cracked was my screen protector and I will be ordering another one. I also dropped it one other time. This is a very sturdy case. I am, obviously, not the best in protecting my phone. But this case does the work for me. Good Investment!

Best heavy duty phone case I've ever used! My phone gets accidentally dropped/knocked over a lot with my job and this case has the best shock absorber built into it. My phone has been dropped over 10 feet onto pavement several times and this case has saved it every single time. I've used it for several years and am about to purchase another one since I've put this one thru the ringer. Extremely durable case. I highly recommend it for its solid design & quality.

I've dropped my phone on the floor on concrete and on my daughter, minor dings and ouchies latter it's a great phone case. Kinda heavy but great case. But....if you drop it just right it will still crack a screen. Mine happened in the corners. The S8 feels kinda lose in the rubber cover before putting the shell on it maybe that's why. But over all I'd buy this case for my next phone.

Case has protected my phone flawlessly.Only gripes are1. Rubber charger Gasket frequently falls out, easy fix.2.Aluminum casing cracked at thinnest point upon impact with wood floor. Phone is fine but the case is no longer "sound"

But I thought it would be good in case if my phone drops wont break. Guess what It broke with this heavy duty case. So I suffered to have such a heavy bulky case for a year or so for no reason. When I dropped it accidently the screen broke.So Dont buy this.

Metal bumper (not cheap plastic)Cons: (1) heavy case...weighed a TON; (2) strong bumper but wouldn't do much if phone was dropped on its face (3) too much to fit in my pocketOverall: this case would allow your phone to survive being dropped from the Empire State Building IF, and only if, the phone landed on its side. Quality product, but I returned it because it was much more weight and took up too much space in my pocket.

The phone case is much more sturdy and rugged than I expected. It arrived well packaged and promptly with tools and screws to attach the front to the back, providing extra security, plus there were additional screws included. This product exceeded my expectations!

Bought this to replace the lame looking Otterbox... I wasn't impressed with how heavy it was but I easily got used to it. But I dropped, then accidentally kicked my phone off a 12 foot ledge on to a concrete landing and the case actually chipped the concrete. There's now scarred marks on all 4 corners of the case, and the piece that covers the headphone jack is scratched to hell, but the phone and screen survived. I'm now sold for life on these.

It is an unusual design but works very well. The protective bumper you put the case in is quite thick and you can see your phone is protected when you put your phone in it even before placing the aluminum covers and screwing them down. While it does add weight to the phone overall when you hold it in this case you just feel comfortable knowing its protected. The speaker ports are on the front of the case plate which at first I thought was odd but it is actually extremely smart because the sounds is pushed out perfectly and quite loudly with no distortion. I use speakerphone a lot at night with hourly calls and every one was loud and crystal clear even with speakerphone volume on lowest setting. The back almost looks like it might obstruct the fingerprint sensor but it does not it works perfectly fine and pictures come out without obstruction as well. This is an excellent case for my s8! I have no doubts about its protection. Its easy to install, the materials are superb, the layers i can tell actually serves a purpose. As for the functionality, the power button is recessed avoiding accidental pressing of it although it is still very easily accessible. The volume amd bixby on the left is elevated which is fine because i usually hold the phone with my right hand. The usb cable has no restrictions. There's a plug that protects the input from dust or moisture or any debris. The headphone jack is no problem at all.. i have one of those thick ended Anker ones that are braided. Theres even an opening on the bottom left corner that allows for an attachment of a key chain, or wrist loop. The speakers which are found at the bottom are redirected to face the front of the phone... its really cool how they implemented that feature too. The sound is unaffected entirely.Overall, very happy with this case. Especially for the price! Would recommend this to everyone.

I needed something to hold with my hands as the phone was too slim and slippery. Very robust, I like the extra detail for rubber covers over ports and buttons, and the very nicely done corners. Has some weight though, which for some maybe an issue, doesn't bother me though.

This thing is built like a tank. Just in case you weren't sure what you were buying, this is basically an aluminum screwed together box that goes around the phone..it will increase the size and weight by a substantial amount. It barely fits into some of my pants pockets now but it's a good trade off for someone like myself who occasionally launches their phone into outer space without a parachute. It has survived a few launches since purchase, only the black finish is scuffed a bit. The around around the screen is raised, so it protects the glass slightly.My only issue is the hinged phone jack cover..its a big blocky thing that is way overkill. A bit of a pain if you keep headphones connected while on the move.

Not only is the phone well protected, it could double as a lethal weapon because of the weight. The only complaint I have is your limited on what kind of headphones or aux cord you use
