Kate Spade Larabee Dot White Sheet Set Queen

Right out of the package, what an irresistible sheen! Threw them on the bed without washing (I know, for shame) and enjoyed the smoothness for one glorious night until...I washed them. Oh, so carefully. Cool water. Low heat dry. And poof! Sheen gone. Smoothness gone, replaced by sandpaper. Thin, insubstantial 150 grit sandpaper. So disappointed. So underwhelmed. So irritated that I wasted money on extra pillowcases. Don’t be me. Don’t make the same mistake.

I purchased these sheets believing that the Kate Spade brand wouldn't put their name on an inferior product. I am beyond disappointed! These are truly the coarsest sheets I have ever tried to sleep on. I've tried washing them several times hoping that they would soften. They have not. You can actually see and feel the ridges in the weaving (and at about the midnight mark, they feel huge!) It's like trying to sleep on a pair of new, white denim jeans. What a waste of hard-earned money! The only plus is that the fitted sheet really is extra-deep.

I have same set though didn’t buy on Amazon. Cotton sheets never retain original softness unless it’s a jersey cotton or cotton blend.
