That being said, there are a lot of other NewKey light therapy masks, and they all seem to have the same exact power and technical specs - so the only real difference between them and this "upgraded" model is that this one has a bigger mouth and nose hole, it isn't any more powerful - just more breathable.Tips:*Don't exceed the 20 minute treatment time, and follow the treatment instructions 3x per week. Light therapy works great, but it is possible to exceed the optimal therapeutic dosage and actually reduce the beneficial effects.*I recommend closing your eyes or using cucumbers or an eye mask when using the lights. Red light exposure is very safe - but other colors haven't been studied as much and some (blue in particular) are known to be bad for your eyes.*Expect this to take weeks to months to show benefits for reducing wrinkles. Light therapy is a slow and steady process, and you won't get benefits overnight.

I'd been getting so many ads for these light therapy masks that my curiosity was piqued. I'm at that age (53) that it takes extra work to make my skin look plumped and bright, and since I'm not interested in botox or plastic surgery, I'm always on the hunt for products that improve my skin's health and texture with non-invasive methods.This mask doesn't fit me super well. My lips sit above the mouth area and my nose is a little tall, and this is heavy enough to leave a mark on my nose. I like to use it while I'm working on my computer, but sometimes I just have to lift it off my nose to give it a break from the pressure. *If you have a flatter nose, this probably won't be an issue.Overall, though, the mask has a smooth texture and feels okay - not too uncomfortable at all. It presses comfortably firm against my forehead and the mouth area is about an inch from the mask. I haven't figured out how to adjust the positioning to make it more even, but it's not really a problem.I am mostly using the red lights (for wrinkles/collagen production) and the green lights (for evening skin tone). I have a teen son who is acne prone who is interested in the blue light for this.It's easy to breath with this mask on, and there are 5 adjustable straps to try to fit it comfortably to your head/face.My husband is using this (green mode) on his head (like a helmet) to try to get rid of some pigmentation issues from sunshine and thinning hair. Randomly it fits okay on his head for this. ha! I've seen people use red light helmets to stimulate hair growth, and while this is designed for the face, it might be okay for this as well.I added all the pics because I thought they were funny, but mostly so you could see how vibrant the lights are. :)

I had a different light mask before, and I found the new one is more comfortable to use. It has a nice strap harness going to 5 points around the head, so it does not try to fall off and it does not press onto anything. The lights are in between outer and inner shells, so inside you touch clear smooth plastic, nothing weird. The lights come very close to the skin. YOu can keep your eyes open and you can see the controls for the device. The device needs to be plugged in with a USB-C cord - cord and charger were included.The controls are easy. Just sit and relax. I wish I could put my glasses over it so I could read while getting a treatment, but I really cannot imagine how this could be possible.
