I love dewalt
As you can see from my other reviews I have almost every Dewalt cordless product and a few corded ones as well. The hammer drill works great.I had the smaller model before and decided to upgrade when this came out.Relatively light (depending on battery used) and lasts on a single charge for every job I have done so far.Have completely renovated 2 houses and onto number 3. I used this to break up concrete slabs, drill big deep holes into the foundation slab and a bunch of other jobs. Even though it is cordless it was more powerful that the similar sized cordless version I also have. I ended up giving the corded one away.Great work dewalt.

Single speed not variable as described in it's manual
This tool does not have the variable trigger speed as described in the manual. This was important for the jobs I was going to be doing. However, the protect clutch feature makes the tool less risky at the high rpm.For core applications it would be nice to slow it down though, to center the hole properly

Great tool.
Great tool with lots of power. I'm on the DeWalt battery platform, and used my 9ah 60v FlexVolt batteries with this roto-hammer to drill 16in down into ledge to drive my propery markers in, broke up ledge to re-route and repair the sewer line on my property, and also bore 4in diameter holes through my foundation for better plumbing drainage line re-locatiom. Great tool, but have to know how to use it.

Nice, powerful SDS Max tool
This is powerful. I had to bore a couple of 2" holes for some gas pipe and it cut through both brick and concrete quickly and efficiently. I had a good carbide tipped bit which helped.

So far so good
So far so good. Overall I've had good luck with Dewalt cordless. In 25 years I've only burnt up one impact driver and I have alot of their cordless tools. Time will tell with this one.

Beast.
Drilled and chiseled two 4 inch holes with no problem, the thing’s a beast.I did go through 2 or 3 6 amp batteries on the hole in the picture, so you’ll want to be pretty well geared in the flex volt system; I’m thinking I should get a 9 amp battery for this.

corded power without the cord
great for all large jogs,, and a slow start feature is good,, and my battery 12 amp 60 volt lasts most the day.. i drill 6 inch holes in cement,, drive ground rods,, drill tons of holes a good tool for sure,,

Missing Features
Single speed. Missing the Bit stop. Good luck finding a Side handle with a 3" diameter ring on a side handle with bit stop. Product Managers ay DeWalt not much help other than saying "We don't make one. " I'de get a different brand.

2-3 months in and died.
Was using for chipping frozen soil and drilling for conduit runs through foundations. Within a few months it started acting up and then one day it just wouldn’t work at all. Let it sit for a few hours just in case it overheated. Tried it agin and started to smoke and now it’s completely dead. Very disappointed and may have to jump the fence for the next one!
