My original review was the product was received in a timely manner and would have been great for my brother to use but due to a health issue they didn't work for him. I SAID they would be great for me for malts etc. Just not for someone without muscle control as my brother has with the lost of his jaw bone.The product it's self is wonderful for smoothies, malts etc.No problem with the product its self,just didn't help my brother which was why I purchased in the first place. My sister in- law and brother thanked me and both had been looking for these larger straws thinking they would work...for her they are fine for him he just not able to.NOTHING WRONG WITH PRODUCT...WILL BE GREAT FOR US TO USE FOR MALTS.

Absolutely love these straws! Indestructible and will last forever! Have just a few left out of a bag I bought from Amazon in 2012! Only thing is that I did not have quite enough to go around to take on our family cruise in January! They do not collapse and/or get obstructed, even with the thickest smoothies with big chunks of fruit!!!

Original review: They did not misrepresent these. They are definitely super wide. They are very strong and sturdy. If you like the size, you will probably give it more stars. I gave it only one, because I did not like them at all. This negative review is based on my personal preference, not on the quality of the item. Just know, they are much wider than most smoothie straws.UPDATE: I changed my review to 3 stars, because my dislike is based on a personal preference issue, not on the quality of the straws. I still cannot give them 5 stars, because I, personally, did not like them, due to the size. The size was not misrepresented by the company. I knew how wide the straws were before buying. I just did not realize how that width would feel as I drank my smoothie. It felt really too big, to me. That may not be an issue for you. If not, you will probably love these.UPDATE 5/17/14: I changed from 3 to 5 stars after using these for a few months. At first, they felt really weird because of their size. I continued to use them because they cost more than I was willing to just throw in the trash. I must say, I've gotten used to the size, and now I really do like them. Smoothies flow through these with no problem at all. No having to make your cheeks sore, trying to get the smoothie to your mouth. I encourage anyone who drinks smoothies to give these a try. Yes, they at first seem a little pricey for straws. However, they are so sturdy they can actually be washed and used again, if you are so inclined. I've gone from hating the feel of these to really loving them.

These straws are hugh! They will definitely get the job done. I actually feel they are almost TOO wide to use comfortably. UPDATE: 3/13/2013 I finally used a straw and it beats the heck out of any other straws I've tried for my super duper veggie & fruit smoothies. I didn't think I would like it and that it might be difficult to use but it's not. It definately gets the trick done! Will for sure buy more when I run out.

Straws were wider than I expected and wrapped in plastic. I'm revising my original review because the manufacturer indicates tapping the straw on a flat surface is the best technique to get the wrapper off the straw. I prefer a paper wrapper that I can tear.

Okay, so this was my second purchase of these straws. I have to say, it took me a while to get used to the larger dimension, but, now that I am used to it, I won't use anything else for my smoothies. My family has a problem....we are smoothie junkies. Seriously, the most used appliance in our household is the Ninja blender. We even have a special secret signal for when we are about to run the Ninja and people are watching TV (I did say secret and we are Ninjas so I am not going to spill the beans).These straws are easy to clean and reuse for the next smoothie creation (some more edible than others). Why the second purchase? I swear the kids are selling them or something because they DO NOT wear out! :)

These straws are just what I was looking for. They are nice and wide for drinking milkshakes with ease. I don't understand why some reviewers are complaining about the straws being wide. The title clearly states that they are "SUPER-WIDE!". With that being said, they are not insanely wide like some reviews stated. Some reviewers would have you thinking that you are going to get lock-jaw from these straws. That is just not the case. These are just a wider type straw that is designed perfectly for milkshakes or smoothies, and are durable enough to be cleaned and reused a couple of times before disposing if you choose. I highly recommend these straws and will be purchasing more when these run out.

Nice big straws for smoothies & milkshakes. They were a little large for what I needed them for. The grandkids love them so they will be used. Great colors.
