This needle is used for getting grease in very tight places, and needle bearings it works really well also and many other places I use Lucas “Red N Tacky” and all my grease guns I also use their aerosol can that shoots grease in the place behind the gear boxes and the solvent dissipates instantly leaving the synthetic grease to do its job and when I found this needle, the needle gives me more direct application and to really tight places you really need one of these if you do anything with gearboxes even small ones this makes life so much easier

It is a needle for squirting grease into small things that don't have fittings. It is not made of unbendium, so if you are having to try to get it into something, do not be surprised if you bend it, a little or a lot. A lot means it won't flow grease, wither un bend it or buy a new one & try again a different way to avoid bending it. They are cheap enough. Also, you may need to hold it onto the end of your grease gun as any movement sideways, just like with a grease fitting, will pop it off the end of the gun & leave a greasy sploodge on whatever you are trying to inject. It happens. deal with it & try again. I have never been given anything for free from Amazon as apparently I am neither a prodigious enough reviewer, purchaser or just not funny enough to be worth anyone wanting to give me anything, so my reviews are as honest as you get....

The replacement joint ball on my Jeep was not lubricated and the mechanic forgot or something but it started creaking after a few months of being installed, there was no plug to lub it, so I found on youtube a video where they injected the grease through the plastic with a needle, this one works perfectly, the puncture is not big enough to damage the plastic and you can fill up with grease the joint ball, the noise went away immediately. If you do this, I recommend every once in a while check your joint ball for any damage, so far mine is perfect. The other one that was also replaced a year before has the plastic cover torn and I did nothing to it, so I will have to replace it, even before the one I lubed.

I bought this injector needle as a replacement to an injector needle from a different manufacturer. My wife and I own two fairly new vehicles, a 2008 Mazda Tribute and a 2015 VW Golf, neither of which come from the factory with grease-able anything. I also own a Harley motorcycle, and I use this needle to grease its wheel bearings. The picture you see is exactly what you get. Part of why I won't give this needle 5 stars is because grease often escapes from the Zerk Fitting and spills onto the injector body, despite having a Lock-N-Lube fitting on my grease gun. Fortunately, the injector body has a knurled ring which allows for a good grip, even if covered in grease. The needle itself is about the length of a car key, specifically the part of the key that sits in the ignition switch. The second part of why I won't give 5 stars is because the yellow shroud that covers the needle, and protects from accidentally breaking skin, is not a tight fit on the injector body. That is to say, If I am not careful, the cover will simply slide off and expose the needle. You can use this on Upper and Lower Ball Joints, CV Axles, Tie Rods (Upper or End), Suspension Bushings, and Sway Bars on my cars. I have noticed that If I inject the needle at a fairly sharp angle, or in the valley of a boot (think Tie Rod or CV Axle Boots) I do not get leaks. My Mazda has 120,000 miles and I have only needed to replace my Tie Rod Ends in that time. I have no strange noises or issues in any other suspension component, and I believe that is in large part to this Injector Needle. I would recommend this to a friend.

Works excellent but be careful pushing on it, I bent the first one after a bit, I ordered 2 more, has many uses.

I have a 2001 Honda Accord that's in remarkable shape given its age. It developed a bad squeak in the front end. It was from the driver's side ball joints. The ball joints were tight but noisy and had "boots" on them. I was able to inject grease into the boots using this needle and the noise is totally gone. Easy to do, the most difficult part was jacking the care and removing the wheel for better access. A little time and a little money avoided a very costly repair.

It's only about $4, so don't expect too much. Mine arrived in the protective sleeve, but was somewhat warped. Not damaged, but very cheaply made. But it did do the job. ***Update*** Did NOT do the job. It worked once, without injecting grease in anything. When I actually tried to use it, it leaked out. I tried it on multiple grease guns, and with the same results. It's less than $5. I threw it away.
