Very Informative book. Great info

As a beginner with no formal training or process this book is fantastic for laying out the process and giving you real wisdom from an author that knows his stuff.

Some excellent information, both in the author's text and in the interviews with Engineers.

Bobby Owsinski’s books and courses are exceptional. They cut through the myths and mystiques that all musicians, engineers, and producers encounter when trying to learn or perfect recording techniques. Your recordings and mixes WILL sound better if you follow his advice!

I've been active in recording and mixing music of my own and as well as for bands I've played in. I'm always interested to continue learning about any subject I'm interested in. This book is very clearly written. The information presented in this book is very well organized and the book is written in a way that makes complicated topics easy to understand. I'm a gigging musician who wants to get into recording. Mixing is an intimidating prospect to say the least. This book was very well laid out and I love the way he clearly intended this for beginners. A lot of these other books are not well written for beginners, they're written by people so used to using the stuff they're writing about that they completely forget that the basics are really not all that simple and things really need to be explained well and thoroughly. This book delivers on that 💯.

Put down the YouTube videos and back away slowly. Trying to pick and choose quick fix tutorials on YouTube without any kind of foundation is an endless rabbit hole. Get this book. Read it. Re-read it. Highlight it. Get the foundational concepts down and get out of your own way. Then, you can start supplementing with other tutorials if you want. There are no shortcuts. I highly recommend this book. I’ve learned a ton. I love the interviews. My only wish is that he had interviewed some additional metal mixers. I think Jens Bogren is one of the best working today, and I’d love to read an interview with him. Great reference.

Prabably one of the best books out there.

I’m an amateur musician trying to get my head around putting my own songs together at demo level. This book really helped familiarize me with the conceptual elements of music production. I also have the Workbook, which is great for the practical aspects. Highly recommended!

This book has everything you need to know about mixing and also some info about mastering. Whether you are a beginner or already on the path, this is the best book on the market. You will learn and discover great things.

Very well structured, with good information for mixers of all levels. I appreciate the views of other mixers quoted in the book that provide a deeper and varied perspective to demonstrate there is more than one way.
