This works exactly as advertised. Keeps my dogs in the backseat, although they really want to be in the front. Makes me feel that they would be safer in an accident. I worried that these would be too short, but they are just the right length. I have a tallish 35 lb lab/springer and a 16 lb doxy/terrier and it works great for both.

My dog doesn't move around as much and I feel so much safer knowing that he won't jump out of the car or distract me by climbing through every inch of the car. The product is well made and fits in my Toyota Rav4 seat buckle. The concept is nice, but my dog can still move everywhere just in a shortened distance. I just make sure my dog's car seat is fastened and prevent him from going to the back seats.

I've got a manual transmission and a new companion from a dog shelter. Pip, my companion, would get tossed around on our first drives together. These seat belts really helped to train him to ride shot-gun. I live in N. Cali and some of our highways get windy and dangerous. This seat belt gives me peace of mind Pip will stay put and not try and lay on my lab as I'm going 50mph on a hairpin turn in the dark after a rain ;)One suggestion:It would be cool if there were some type of retractable mechanism that way when the belt is in-fact doing its job, it's less harsh on the pup's harness.

I thought I had taken the snap off from her harness, but apparently it was still attached.She jumps down from the truck and lands all funny. I go to check on her and see the strap is still attached to her harness.The stap had broken away from the part that clicks into the seatbelt.Now if that strap snapped that easy with my 49lb dog getting out of the truck, there is NO WAY it would hold in any kind of accident.Currently looking for a stronger strap.

My dog is pretty tall while sitting so I was having a hard time trying to get the seat belt to reach from his collar to the seat belt clicker. I always have a harness on my dog when taking him places so it wasn't a problem reaching from his harness to the clicker, I actually had to tighten it. It's obviously not as durable as the seat belts in your car but it does what it's meant to do! Gives me piece of mind while driving with my pup and also keeps him from trying to hop up front from the back seat without restricting him!

These are great! I have a one year old Dogue de Bordeaux (think the dog from the movie “Turner and Hooch”). She isn’t aggressive in the slightest, but curious about things outside the car. She loves having the window down with her head hanging out, but I always worry something would grab her attention and I’d be left with a broken car window and a dog running down the street. This leash has worked wonderfully! She is about 115lb at this point and has had no problems with being hooked to this. However, with large dogs I’d recommend getting a safety cover for the buckle because my dog has accidentally stepped on the buckle and freed it. But overall, this has been a lifesaver for car rides!

This is a great idea. They have held both our dogs in the seat and kept them from flying forward when breaking. The mettle seems thin but it doesn’t seem this will last a long time.

These work just as intended and keep my dogs sitting in my back seat versus having them come play in my lap. Wish I had these years ago! These hold my 40lb Black Labs without issues.

Do not hook this to a dog collar only. You just use a proper harness as well if you don’t want to snap the dogs neck.

Awful , doesn’t stay buckled . One little pull from the dog and it comes unbuckled ( both of them )
